We paid a visit here on a Saturday night in early December and having eaten here at least 30 times here since 05 and also the other branch and also Liverpool we knew what to expect with the food . We arrived at 8.25 for our 8.30 booking and was told we would be a few minutes waiting which is fine. We stood in the narrow enterence as there is little space by the bar with another 15 or so people waiting . 25 mins later we asked how long more and told a few more minutes. What annoyed us was other people (one group with an 8.45 time (we asked them) were seated before us . They seem to be overbooking tables as this also happened us in October. Once we got seated (40 mins later ) things improved. Poppadumsand dips are the best you can get anywhere with seven different dips. Our starters were prawn puri, seekeh kebab and chicken pakora which were all lovely . We had a long wait until our mains and my Chicken Shaslik which was supposed to be on a sizzler came on a cold plate. The waiter did apologise but dissapointing as i love my fried onions. The mixed grill and the chicken dish ( cant remember the name but on of ther specials ) my friends were nice and nann bread is so big that the 3 of us couldnt finish it . Overall the meal was good but the wait to be seated made us a bit annoyed. Need to sort that out East Z East but food as good as ever.
