“Wow.... Great Punjabi food in the city centre - a great mix of authentic cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

I've been a massive fan of curry since my days in Malaysia and crossing over to punjabi is a little hard, however the is simply the best curry I have ever had in Manchester City centre!

“Bring a coat!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

Went along with a group of friends who'd rated the place. We booked, but there was a fair wait to be seated. We ordered cocktails which took 20mins, despite it being fairly empty. When they arrived, they looked pretty impressive. After a few sips, we noticed what looked like nails in them whatever it was, it put us off drinking. We asked what the weird fingernail bits were, but we're told it was just the drink. We had our cocktails replaced, minus the bits! And still unenlightened as to what it was! The staff were friendly enough, despite one waiter spilling a bottle of beer all over my friend and serving the wrong food! Absolutely freezing in there too! The food was above average, with generous portions and a reasonable price. Wouldn't rush back in a hurry!

“Xmas Bash.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

Visited last Friday - Xmas works bash - little concerned in the fact they'd lost our "pre-booked order " and therefore had to re-order again. Served drinks and the food was delicious - poppadoms n the array of sauces were "to die for". Bill was presented to ourselves and twice we had to advise that certain items were incorrectly billed also the fact we had paid a deposit. This hasn't put me off returning as I thoroughly the food.... Nice atmosphere !!!

“one of the worst indian style meals ive had”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

had so many curry's all over the UK and other country's. This is one of the worst.

starter looked about as appetising as a quickly thrown together plate of fried frozen 'bits'

the main course of chilli garlic chicken looked had a really strange smell (not of spices or garlic), the small chunks of reformed chicken put me off...

To top it, the toilets are dirty and the theres no way to dry your hands.

waiters took the food (we left nearly all of the started and main courses) and never asked if we enjoyed it or had any feedback.

£80 for 3 people, (inc two small beers), shared started and a main..

terrible.

“Great food! Great Place! Great Value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

I love indian food, but eastZeast is definitely the best restaurant I have eaten Indian food in Manchester so far :) The food is very nice and also there is quite a wide variety of vegetarian options :) The price is veryu addequate even may run cheap if you are sharing several plates with somebody else or a group of friends. I especially like the riverside restaurant as has a very nice environment and one can sat by the river while having a gorgeous meal :D Great! In this occasion I chosen the place to celebrate a birthday meal and it was definitively the right choice :D
