“Used to be great now just average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

The Nawaab on Stockport Road used to be the goto place for a good quality Indian all you can eat buffet with your friends. Then they dropped the alcohol license (several years ago to be honest) and the prices went up and up... Dont get me wrong its always full (capacity for several hundreds people at a go), but time it wrong and you'll be three deep at the serving counter.

The soft drinks are expensive and the food quality seems to have dropped somewhat since their heyday 5 years ago.

Its still a good place if you want something tasty and quick, but their prices are now comparable to many Indian restaurants with a sit down policy.

“Sunday lunch with added spice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch with the extended family.
The building and decor is beautiful, really makes a good impression when you arrive.

We opted for the buffet lunch to accommodate everyone's tastes.

Very good selection of food. Plenty of starter and main course choices.
All cooked very well and tasted excellent.

We were a group of 25+ and the staff were very tentative.
Despite there being a time limit, we didn't feel any pressure to eat up and go.
Plenty of desserts on offer too, if you still have room.

Very reasonably priced.
There are dishes suitable for kids or those who like their food milder.

Ideal for big family gatherings.
Do try a little of everything.
Do leave room for pudding.

“Relatively good Indian buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

Myself and my colleagues came here in a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was busy however we managed to get a table.
Drinks ordered promptly and brought to the table straight away. For those of you whom have never been to nawaab they do not serve alcohol.
Food was varied, and plentiful in an open kitchen where the chefs were cooking away.
Deserts looked ok nothing spectacular.
All in all a pleasant experience, I would come again as it is one if the better Indian buffets in Manchester, well priced but always busy.

“Excellent, varied food - be prepared to wait for a table”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

We have visited Nawaab Manchester numerous times - travelling 30 miles each way when we do visit.

The food is always excellent with lots of variety. Perfect for our family which includes vegetarians and dairy intolerants, we have always come away fully satisfied with our experience.

You have to be 'crafty' in choosing when to attend, as certain days and times are HORRENDOUSLY busy. Don't turn up at 19:00 on a Friday night and expect to be seated in less than an hour. We learned this to our cost.

We usually go on a Wednesday, early evening, but even then, by about 20:00 the place is heaving.

This is a buffet style restaurant, the food is varied, with lots of things that you don't see in most Asian restaurants. You can see the chefs cooking and preparing the food in an open kitchen. Food is refreshed often.

Curently at around £15 per adult - so great value.

Great for families, colleagues, friends, couples.

Be aware that Nawaab does not serve alcohol, so don't go there if you are looking for a boozy night out.
