“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

My wife and I went for the first time last night after deciding whilst out that we fancied Chinese, the Tripadvisor reviews seemed positive so we thought we'd give it a whirl......SOOOO glad we did! Food was the best Chinese we've ever had, we're gutted that we have only just found the Rice Bowl 4 weeks before moving to Australia! Might have to have another trip here before we go!

Can't reccomend it enough.

“If you like Chinese you'll love The Rice Bowl.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

visited The Rice Bowl with my partner and we both love the place - you will not disagree once you've been. As always the staff are so professional - helpful and friendly - decor is nice and the atmosphere is great - can get busy but Jenny can and will accommodate everyone. The food is great - all freshly prepared and so mouth watering - the Dim sum is fab and the Hot & Sour Soup is great. You can not fault this restaurant in anyway or form - its got to be the best in Manchester and I've been going to it for years and it only gets better each time. Thanks Jenny & staff for yet another great meal and visit.

“Nice Food & Reasonable Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

First of all the Rice Bowl doesn't allow reservations for 2 but on arrival they quickly found us a table. Service wasn't exactly with a smile but it was quick and efficient. The Rice Bowl has an extensive menu and prices seemed about average. As an observation, the decor looks more Thai than Chinese but it was clean and tidy. Tables are a little close together and you can hear other diner's conversations but you don't feel that they're on top of you.

Portions are generous and the quality is good: a portion of boiled rice at £2.50 is more than enough for two. We had: 1 Dim Sum; 1 Crispy Aromatic Duck with Pancakes; 1 King Prawn Shanghai Style; Sweet and Sour Pork; Soft Fried Noodles with Spring Onion; a portion of Boiled Rice; 2 glasses of wine and a pint of Carlsberg for the princely sum of £53.35.

We would visit again but will try Wings just off Albert Square the next time we have a Chinese meal; I will of course review Wings after we've visited.

“Fantastic quality food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

The best Chinese food I have ever eaten anywhere. Fabulous quality, really fresh ingredients, attentive staff. I cannot find fault. Will be back, and we're southeners so it is a bit of a trek.
