I have heard very good things about The Armenian, so we decided to try it out and it did not disappoint. We arrived on a Thursday night without booking and the waiter lead us to a table straight away and kindly took our coats to the cloakroom. The restaurant was busy but the service was not affected, we were never rushed into making our orders :) we ordered the Armenian Banquet with a extra portion of Yershig - their home made spicy sausage! The waiter recommended a bottle of red Lebanese Keyfraye - which was very good! The flavours and textures of each dish on the mezza (starter) were amazing and complimented each other very well and the home made Lavish bread was perfect for the dips! The main course was also tremendous where each meat was barbecued to perfection on their charcoal grill and tasted delicious! For desert we had Armenian delights which is included however we wanted to taste their home made Backlava which was also full of flavour and at a modest £3.75! All in all the food & wine was perfect and the staff were friendly and knew what they were doing! The atmosphere is homely and authentic! 5 stars i will be back soon!
