“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

My family & myself stayed here for one night, before an early morning flight in December.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel. The hotel is exactly expected. It is a cheap place to stay before a flight. Yes, the place could do with a refurb. But, it offers good value for money. If I wanted more, I could have booked the Marriott around the corner for £120 a night. But I opted for a budget option at £25 per night. In life you get what you pay for and you should set your expectations accordingly. Do not expect anything other than basic for this price. But, I will give it four stars in my review purely because the rating has to be based on the price paid.

The beds & room are clean. Staff on reception friedly and helpful. The shower is hot. The TV worked. There was tea and coffee in the room. It is less than five minutes to Manchester Airport. What more is there to say?

On arrival to this hotel and to check in the man behind the desk said our card payment never went through and said unless we paid £50 up front we would not be staying there. As we had just came from a 5 hour flight and just wanted to sleep we agreed, and said we would be checking or statements. The reception area appeared to be some type of local teenage hang out, they were very loud and not friendly. When finally given a room it was clean and had a large bed/bathroom, however it was a disabled room. The room also came with a free bible. I wouldn't stay here as it was very overpriced and an absolute joke as they've refused to refund us.

we needed a room for an early morning flight. reception staff were polite and helpful. Rooms were basic but had a shower and a bed which was all we needed for an overnight stay. .
Also recommend the local pub The Romper for meals which is within walking distance
The shuttle service was organized the night before and cost us £8 between 4 adults Bargain.
We would stay here again

Rooms was sparse and cold and not very clean. Thin quilt and bedding. TV had no remote. Booked this hotel when it was still owned by travelodge and expected the same level of hospitality how wrong we were. Will definitely stay at another hotel next time we travel and suggest you do the same.

Booked this hotel for a stop over before an early flight the next morning, whilst very cheap there is a reason for this. The rooms are dirty mould in bathrooms uncomfortable beds, tv's did not work tea and coffee available in rooms but you wouldn't want to drink from the mugs.

Imagine Pontins run by the East Germans, or a horrible student dorm room. Expect no free shuttle, 7 pounds each way from the airport, no free wifi except in lobby, very soft mattress, no phone in room. 4 miles from airport. We won't use this one again.
