“Good location to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

My family and I stayed here for just one night before heading to up North. Easy to find but very limited parking space. The nearest is accross the street. We reach there around 8pm and it was a rainy night. They have parking space in the basement but was close despite of still have few vacant lots. Anyway we are quite lucky to be allowed to park at the disable lot due our heavy luggage we have and it happens that it is not in use. Thanks to the hotel staff who are so helpful and very considerate to us.

The room was huge for 4 of us but the condition was not really good and clean. We don't really care much as long we have warm place to sleep. Overall I would still recommend other travellers to consider this hotel due to it strategic location and convenience.

Room Tip: Do take too big room as this could result in the temperature inside.

We booked this hotel months before arriving to attend an event at the MEN arena. The location of the hotel was ideal and we couldn't ask for a better location. When we booked we did not realised that we booked an evening meal and buffet breakfast the next day (included in the cost of the room) so it was a surprise to find this out at the check in desk. Myself and my Husband were only staying the one night and didn't really have the time to find a restaurant so having a pre-paid meal available was very convenient. If we had more time and no commitments then we would have chosen a better class restaurant outside of the hotel. The hotel had allocated parking but it was very tricky to find especially when the website did not mention this when i checked before arriving.

I would recomment this hotel if you are going to the MEN arena because of how convenient this is. Enjoyh your stay.

Room Tip: Parking on top floor of multi car park behind the hotel.

The hotel is comparable to a Holiday Inn, but the value for money is much better. The choice of food is standard, nothing outside of the norm; however, the quality and value for money (with a meal deal) is extremely good!

I would recommend it if you are considering staying in a normal business hotel.

Stayed for 1 night when we went to see Peter Kay. Pre-booked back in December when I bought the tickets and paid £65 for a double room. We struggled at first to find a parking bay as all where full but as we were leaving to find alternative parking someone left a space right by the door, couldn't have parked closer! Receptionist was very pleasant and polite and even came outside with us to show us where to go for the MEN (incredibly close) and also Deansgate and shopping centre. He said that if we were going shopping the next day after we had checked out we could still leave the car there. Room was spacious and clean. Yes, we noticed the filthy windows too (but the outside of them not the inside) but this didnt really matter. Slept well, no noise at all. Booked breakfast for the morning, this was a little pricey (7.99 each i think) but there was as much as you wanted and the food was freshly cooked so no complaints there. Only tiny little issue I had was there were 2 teabags and 2 sachets of coffee so we had to ration ourselves a little there!
Overall good value for money, ideal location and clean tidy hotel.

Room Tip: If you need more than one cup of tea before you can face the world in the morning take some teabags...

I recently stayed with the Premier Inn - Central and on my return journey to the hotel a local taxi took me to the wrong hotel - The Premier Inn MEN/City works and I just want to express my fantastic service I recieved from the Night assistant Carl.
Carl was a true gentlemen, ringing the central Premier Inn to check I was staying there and to confirm that he had re booked me a taxi and I was on my way and for the hotel to look out for me.
As a young female in a new city if it hadn't of been for Carl, friendly helpful kind service I could of ended up lost in a big city. So just wanted to say Thank you. Natalie

Stayed here for two nights when in Manchester for Peter Kay. It's in a great location for the MEN and the centre of Manchester. It also has parking, which is brilliant. We paid £148 for the two nights, which was pretty good.

The room was lovely; plenty of room with a great shower in the bathroom. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff we met were very helpful. We didn't eat here on this occasion, but the restaurant menu looks really good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the car park

Invaluable having the on site parking for the day. Chose this hotel as working in office off Deansgate and needed parking for the day. Hotel comfortable and convenient for being able to walk into city. Has everything for a one night stay - including a portable fan heater for topping up the heating in the room. But it is pricey at £100 if you are on your own. Breakfast is extremely good value though. Overall, the location and facilities are spot on.
