“Great price but no frills!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

What can I say? £29 - double/twin room central Manchester - brill!! Uncomfortable bed (boingy springs). Noisy aircon machines outside all night but apart from that...great. Just wanted to let folks know how it is. Very clean and good, very good for the money. Why does the bar close at 2300 hrs?? Please don't think this place is bad - it just aint luxury but it is very clean and staff are excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. Can I trouble you to email me on dorene.mcdavid@whitbread.com the room number you stayed in. Last month we took delivery of 140 new beds so i just want to check if its one of the new beds or if we have an older one which needs replaced.

As we so centrally located the bar closes at 11pm. I have passed your comments onto the General Manager of the restuarnt.

I look forward to receiving your email.

Kind regards

What a lovely hotel in a very good location. From our first step through the door we were greeted by very cheerful staff, this never changed in our 2 night stay. Breakfast was very good and you could not want more again staff excellent. We ate in the resteraunt and did not expect much thought it would be just fast food, but we were proved wrong food was very tasty and to a good standard would definatly reccommend. Bedrooms were lovely and clean with good en suites we were on the back so never disturbed, but a couple of our group were on the front and said it could be quiet noisey because of the trams, cars ect. WE drank in the bar and had a coffee in the Costa cafe again very good serves a lovely find and nice to find some were, that staff are so polite and accomodating.

Room Tip: rooms on back are quieter, did not use room service so cant say what it is like.

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent response, we value all feedback. My team and I work hard at trying to ensure that each and every guest has the best possible stay.

As you say the hotel is in a fantastic location, ideal for shops, bars, restaurants, tourist attractions etc. There is a tram line opposite so please on your next visit request a room to the back. Depending on occupancy we will certainly try and accommodate this.

We hope you come and visit us again soon.

Kind regards

Location very good close to town centre. Tram stops nearby and buses too, only short walk to town. Lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel has table table restaurant and costa coffee cafe.
We had large well fitted family room. We asked for room at back as other reviewers had advised these rooms quieter due to trams. We had great night's sleep.
We had a very nice meal in the restaurant and breakfast also very tasty. Only slight niggle we asked for poached eggs which didn't come and water in the water heater for tea was tepid on first morning. This was rectified next day however, so may have just been overlooked.
Overall a great stay!

Thank you for your recent review following your stay with your family.

I'm glad you took previous guests advice and requested a room to the back. Although the Hotel is double glazed the trams unfortunately at the fron, on occassion can be heard. We try and accommodate guests on the high floors and to the back away from the noise but this isn't always possible due to the high occupancy.

I'm sorry you initially had issues with the resturant but I'm glad to hear these were rectified by the following day.

We hope that you get a chance to visit us again in the near future.

Kind regards

I was at a conference opposite so the location was great and it was a short taxi ride from the station. We didn't have our meals there, but Premier breakfasts are always a winner - shame their bar food is less appealing. The basic ingredients are good though. The rooms are clean and I had to ask for a change to one with a bath - they were very good and changed with no problem.

Room Tip: there are a few rooms with only a shower - make sure you don't get one as they are tiny! The hig...

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review, I hope you enjoyed the conference.

As you say we are very centrally located for the Convention Centre, Bridgewater, shops, bars, restaurants and many of the tourist attractions.

We do have a few rooms with showers only, rooms are the same size but the shower rooms are slightly smaller than a normal bathroom. As you say if you request a bathroom on checkin and subject to availability we will try and accommodate this.

We hope to welcome you back to the Hotel in the near future.

Kind regards

I have a very good experience there. I stayed for three nights and we appreciated the kindness of all the staff.
The position is very convenient and you can walk to the City Hall in few minutes, and all the center of Manchester.
You can buy a continental breakfast for £5 or $7 for the english breakfast at the near bar. Actually the very next door is caffè nero so you could also choose a breakfast on your own and decide day by day.
The wi-fi is free for just 15 minutes, than you have to pay £3 for 24 hours. If I have to find a detail I did not like is the basin with two taps ( one for cold and the other for the hot water) that makes the washing interesting if there is a lower temperature:)

Fantastic and convenient location to the Central Convention Complex. Lots of restaurants and bars to choose from near by, and the metrolink is just a minute or two away.
Stayed here just for one night with breakfast for under £40. Well worth the money.
The room was clean and comfortable. Service was excellent and very friendly.
Would use again!

My first stay at a Premier Inn, Manchester Central and I will be using them more often. Clean and tidy room with good noise reduction in room and a great bed in which to sleep in. Great customer service.

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review following your stay with us here at the Manchester Central Premier Inn. My team and I are delighted that you enjoyed your first visit to a Premier Inn. We work hard at trying to ensure that each and every guest has the best possible stay.

We hope you use Premier Inn's for your next stay, we currently have 650 throughout the UK so there should be one where you wish to visit. The best way to get the best possible rate is to book as early as possible, as rates increase with occupancy.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel in the near future. The Christmas markets arrive on 15th Nov - 23rd Dec so maybe you'll be able to visit them.
