“Great food......abysmal service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

Went here for friends birthday...cocktail masterclass good fun though bar tender mentioned he was nervous as large number of us..Food served in secluded part which in terms of seating did not match party size. Asked staff member if could get us some more seats and response was less then helpful as advised to source ourselves.

Food was very tasty and good choice .....staff member James was very accommodating and ensured he was on hand as much as was possible. Bar service in this secluded area limited and ignored by bar staff...it was only at 10pm..the efficiency improved.

Tried to request additional glasses to be ignored by 3 staff without any eye contact. Cocktails were badly presented.

Knowing the reputation of other bars in this chain...massive let down and believe standards in terms of customer service would be beneficial, clearly not enough staff to meet demand.

“Delicious food and great cocktails”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Been here twice on Sunday afternoons, superb food no matter if you have the tapas or a main. Great cocktails with table service a nice laid back vibe. Love it.

It gets very busy on weekend evenings though, when the bar element comes to the fore.

“Can't hear yourself think!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

I was looking for somewhere to eat whilst wondering around town and came across this place, at lunchtime, great atmosphere, good menu looked like the perfect dining experience!

We came back that night to eat, they had a band on that was so loud we had to shout to be heard! We were shown to a table with lovely comfy sofas where we perused the menu for food and cocktails after 15-20 mins of waiving at the staff to get us a drink we finally caught the eye of a waitress who told us it was not her table and she would get someone! Great! We shouted our drink and food order to the waitress and asked for a chicken burrito, a beef enchilada and we shared Cajun chips, now I have to say the food was delicious, and much better when the band had a break as we could have a conversation at last.

The bill came and we asked for a vat receipt, we waited and waited and the waitress eventually came back and said there was a problem and she would have to get a manager to do it...the manager eventually gave us the receipt which was wrong...so again we waited......eventually we got our receipt with an embarrassed sorry, I said we should have been offered a drink whilst we sat like lemons for them to try and work out how to use their own machine...the manager walked off and came back with a mango rum shot and apologised for the wait....and disappeared back into the crowd!

All in all if you want food it would be better for a lunch visit than an evening one if you want a romantic date night forget it, the food is very good tho

A great atmosphere and overall excellent bar, the selection of rum and cocktails were fantastic and reasonably priced, great party atmosphere and music, will definitely revisit next time.
