The restaurant was empty yet the unhelpful waitress refused to sit me in the area which I requested for peace and privacy.
The area I was forced to sit in, then had a family of five placed beside me with children who did not appear to be trained in dinner table manners, or any manners in fact. This low end environment is not suitable for someone trying to relax after a day flying across the country completing business.
The waitress taking the order was unknowledgeable about the menu and did not know the beef source when asked which is alarming considering the FSA's current focus on source and origin.
I also don't appreciate wait staff trying to upsell customer orders - upgrade this, side of that, bottle instead of a glass.
Service was painfully slow.
When the food did eventually arrive it was below par.
Starter - cool, obviously sitting unattended a bit like I was waiting for it
Main - edible, nothing more
Waiting for the cheque took nearly as long as the entire meal.
I am a Hilton Diamond patron and this is not the standard of service I am used to and would not recommend.
Dining establishments like this do not portray what Hilton is about.
