Don't know why I haven't been in here before, but went in last week and was pleasantly surprised. Luved the decor, impressive bar, but yet again it comes down to the staff. I really was impressed by the immediate rapport with the customer (despite being very busy). Within a few minutes I felt I liked the atmosphere. I didn't eat, but my favourite scenario where the Chef and food were easily visible to the customersand and not hidden behind doors was present and the customers seemed to be enjoying their Tapas. Luved the smokers dinky glass fronted balcony (sorry, I smoke)on the second floor (still felt as though were incuded in the bar atmosphere rather than being relegated to a pavement covered in chewing gum and broken glass or stood out in the rain treated like 2nd class citizens, sorry about the rant). I'm going back tonight with friends to double check I liked it! There was definitely a bit of a celtic clientele feel about it (I'm celtic) and a nice mixed crowd. Prices might seem a bit higher than surrounding venues, but you get what you pay for I think (luv seeing Grey Goose being available). The music was good and at a level that allowed conversations rather than shouting matches, in fact more of a lounge feeling on the second floor. Anyway would I recommend it YES and well done to the staff hope you keep up the high standards!
