Read the reviews and I was really looking forward to afternoon tea with a living social voucher. Service was good friendly an efficient but that was where the positives ended. If you like afternoon tea in a place with the overwhelming smell of a greasy spoon. Premade sandwiches and cheap shop bought cakes disguised with over whipped claggy cream. This is the place for you. As the old school report used to say "could do better". Really the could not do worse !!!

“Great breakfasts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

This place opened recently and does a fine, comprehensive, hot and delicious veggie breakfast (the meat one I am told is pretty excellent too).

Staff are really friendly, they have newspapers, you can sit in there and take your time with a cup of tea or whatever and watch people going around their daily business, (what do people do in Didsbury? We live nearby and still don't know). The atmosphere is good. families come in, construction workers, some students, couples, it is a surprisingly mixed crowd when we've been there.

It's cheap too and while some West Didsbury places can feel a bit snobbish, this place is just a nice independent cafe with great food.

We haven't had the burgers or pasta yet but are planning on coming sometime for something other than breakfast.
