I used to come here a lot when I was in uni. I am surprised they haven't received many reviews, although it could be because most of their customers are East Asian students.
First off, this is not your typical restaurant with an attractive entrance and beautiful decor. On the contrary, it is a family-run corner shop with just a few seats, tucked away somewhere behind the Manchester University campus. Don't expect to have a fancy dining experience here.
That said, the food is something else. You can definitely tell from the taste and texture that it has a home-cooked touch - it just reminds you of your mom or that aunt/grandma who is really, really good at cooking your favourite dish that always hits the spot. That is why I find their food to be of better quality than the top Korean restaurants in London.
I especially love their pork bulgogi, which has just the right mix of sweet and savoury. Their kimchi (complimentary) just leaves you wanting more. And their seafood pancake....I don't think I can ever have enough of it.
I hope they will keep doing what they do so well for a long, long time!
