“Excellent Restaurants”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

China Town has a plethora of excellent restaurants and it can be quite daunting as to which one to choose. The best rule of thumb would be to look inside and if there are Chinese people eating there then that would be a good choice. A place not to be missed when visiting Manchester.

“What a let down!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

I was so looking forward to a wander around Chinatown and some food. I can honestly say it was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. We may have just made poor restaurant choice but the whole area was let down. A lot of shops/restaurants closed and it just looked dirty and a bit sleazy.

“Interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Gives you a real feel for Chinese culture. Wong Wong bakery is very nice inside, filled with all sorts of weird and wonderful treats. Little super markets are dotted around. I recommend going on Chinese New Year where there are parades and stalls selling freshly cooked noodles and sir fries, a must see in manchester.

“Go hungry.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Great place to eat. So many place to satisfy your gastronomic needs. Look it up before you go,try to narrow down your preferances or you will be dashing from one resturant to the other.Expect perfunctory service in the cheaper resturants especially at lunchtime but its almost always worth it. I can't review any particular place as they are always picked at random. We seldom look at their names just the menu's. Its a coulorful and interesting area if you like food.

“Thought i was back in Hong Kong”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It is a great part of the city and lots of places to eat, but also shops and cultural activities. There is parking right in the centre near the Chinese Arch
