“Manchester Arena Central”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Booked way in advance for a family room (4 people). Bargain price of £48 for 2 nights stay. Was going to Manchester for a wedding so wanted somewhere near city centre but not too noisy as have a 3 year old son. Very easy to find from the motorway & very convenient car park next door. I believe this was secure parking and it only cost £12. The room was very clean. Staff very friendly & helpful. We stayed at the end of July & the weather was very hot. Unfortunately our room was on the top floor so no air circulating & could not open the windows fully due to safety however we asked if it was possible for a fan & within 10 mins a fan arrived. We only had bedding for 3 when 4 staying but this was soon sorted.Taxi booked at reception with no problems Only niggle 2 cups for drinks when 4 people staying. Lovely Travelodge friendly staff. Will book again. London could learn a few things from you !!

I paid £20 for this room in advance - booked it in May, as I had bough tickets to see a band for my boyfriend's birthday. I was very impressed, considering I paid £20! Room was very comfortable, good tv, nice bathroom, tea making facilities. Only a 3 minute walk from Victoria station! I suppose it's a bit of a walk from the city centre - it took us 25 minutes to walk from Oxford Road to the hotel. But for £20, you can't argue with it!

The team dealt excellently with a group of cyclists finishing a 2000 km charity cycle ride; many thanks to Ahjmed for his patience and going the extra mile to be ultra-helpful, and making sure that we were all checked in quickly.

For my "nights out with the girls", or cheap & cheerful one night stays, Travelodge is always what we go to. We never expect much... one pillow, mediocre bed, yet always clean and does the job.

This Travelodge however, whilst not 5* obviosuly, was just great!! Travelling as a Hen Group we wanted comfort, cheapness, with ease of access to the city (use Street Cars, great service!!!)

Ignore moans about it, not sure if these people were meant to book the Hilton instead?, the beds were very comfort, big thick pillows, and friendly staff.

The breakfast buffet was limited in cooked food choices but what they did have was tasty, and lots of drinks, cereals and savouries.

Definitely return to this one again when I inevitably visit Manchester again!

Stayed here for one night only (thankfully). Tiny room, everything bolted to the floor, faded textiles, more like a three-quarter bed than a double. Inadequate curtains, thin towels, budget, budget, budget. Yet cheap doesn't always have to mean poor, surely? Come on Travelodge, don't be so complacent - you can do much better!!

Nice clean and airy rooms, comfortable bed, plus a restaurant for breakfast if you want. There is also a bar and other food available during the day/evening. This hotel is in a good location and we were able to walk into town and back comfortably.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor which was fine, and with two working lifts
