I needed a reasonable hotel to stay in Manchester near to Audenshaw - the Premier Inn at Denton was full, so I thought I would try Diamond Lodge. This cost £44 for a room including buffet breakfast, so is very good value.
As you would expect, rooms are basically furnished, but my room was clean and adequate.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant that serves a range of simple meals.
Overall, good value for meoney and I have stayed in far worse hotels at a higher cost!

Room Tip: Try not to get a room on the side of he hotel with the main road (A57) as this is busy all night!

Booked the Diamond Lodge because of it's location to Belle Vue dog stadium.
It's only a minutes walk away.
But would not stay here for any other reason. Nothing really bad about the place ,clean enough. But not a great Hotel. Breakfast was okay but it's just put out and you help yourself.

We needed somewhere cheap for a working stop over. This provided that.

Don't expect anything fancy, if you just need somewhere to sleep and grab a quick bite in the morning and you are not fussy then this is perfect. If you want more than that I would advise elsewhere.

Stayed for one night, following wedding at The Monastery (which is less than 5min away in a £3 taxi). Excellent value for the purpose, clean bed, tea coffee tv in room facilities and an immaculate bathroom and towels. Room was a little 'tired' but we only wanted to change for the wedding and a bed for the night. Good English breakfast (as much as you wanted) was included as was parking. Reception staff very helpful when I made a late request for an extra room and early check in (£10 per room) which made the cost £54 per room B&B and a lot cheaper than a city centre hotel and perfect for the Monastery. All in all, very convenient and good value.
