“Fantastic Building with the added extension”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Years ago was a member of many committees which met there. Was always in awe of the architecture. You can feel the grandiose past of the wealthy, and the down to earth councillors of today. Fantastic, even more so when a massive Santa Clause Climbs the exterior at Christmas and when the lights are switched on.

“Stunning venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

I have toured here, attended banquets and functions here, and regularly just pop in for a coffee.

The architecture is simply stunning, one of the finest examples of it's type in the UK. I just wish more of it was open to the general public to view. The main Great Hall is gorgous, exterior is grand and imposing yet beautiful at the same time. One of my favourite views is looking up to the ceiling of a winding stairwell - it's just lush.

It's one of Manchester's greatest assets

“No Town Hall better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I was in two minds about a visit to the Town Hall.....what a mistake to have waited so long to see this exceptionally beautiful and preserved historical and working building. Here you will find wonderful architecture, fabulous period decoration and some wonderful works of highest class art. Go see it ...you will be amazed.
