we are in our mid 50's and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights 9th 10th oct. we have stayed at the mitre many times and to be quite honest would not stay anywhere else.the hotel is modern, clean and quirky staff are pleasant, rooms are really good, breakfast is absolutley wonderful, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, meat, cheese, fresh juice and a full english with tea coffee and toast for £60 per night b&b,where would you find this in the middle of manch city centre! the bad reviews in our opinion are over exaggerated, unfair and prob untrue.we have NEVER been asked to pay a deposit for the tv remote control! the location is brilliant.mark and tracy do a great job and always helpful,be it making bookings for the theatre, taxi's,recommending nice restaurants, and always pleasant.the lady serving the breakfasts is lovely, very chatty and attentive.we will continue to use the mitre every time we visit manchester, and having stayed at lots of 5star hotels,in england and abroad, the mitre is no different, the atmosphere is great, good bar and bar meals, good team of staff, they make it for us!! cant wait to see the new changes that the new manager has planned.dont hesitate to book, go see for yourself and ignore the horrible bad reviews, we love it!
