“Average Budget Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here last night, long queues to check in but the staff were fairly friendly, the reception area seems a little crowded but modern and clean. The room I stayed in needed a serious refurb though, felt very dated, marks on the duvet cover and carpet, the bed was ok fairly comfy but very noisy due to lots of slamming doors, it was ok late on. Decent free wifi which I think every hotel should have. Would I stay again? Possibly if a cheap deal was available due to its proximity to Canal Street but Premier Inn is cheaper and a lot higher quality if you want budget accommodation.

Thank you for your comments. We are currently in the process of a redecoration programme for many of the bedrooms which we hope to complete in the next few months. We have offers and promotions throughout the year so I hope you do return in the future.

I stayed at this hotel in July as a solo traveller. I arrived earlier than normal check in (around noon I think) and was immediately checked into my room even though check in wasn't for a few hours. I was very grateful to be checked in right away as I had just taken an overnight flight from Toronto and was exhausted. The location of the hotel is great, walking distance from both Piccadilly and Oxford Road train stations as well as a quick walk to the city centre, shopping, restaurants and bars. The room was clean, just quite small, very good for one person but would be crowded even with two I think. There was free Wi-Fi in the room which was great for someone coming from overseas to connect to those at home. The hotel itself was pretty basic but for the price was well worth it. The only downfall was that there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. The windows did open though and they provided a fan so it was not unbearable. Overall very good for the price.

I stayed at Days for the Sparkle weekend, I've stayed there before and find it a very pleasant place to stay, and it's convenient for getting to and from the Village. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are well kept and spacious with en suite showers and toilets...
It was nice to be able to sit out in the sun and enjoy a drink..or two.

I visited this hotel over the bank holiday weekend for Manchester Pride. The hotel check in was efficient, the staff very helpful and the décor very attractive. Once all of the finer points had been finalised we then made our way to a beautifully decorated room that was comfortable and did exactly what we expected and needed. Absolutely no complaints and would book again in the future.

Located in the heart of the Gay Village, this is the best place for short terms stays.
Small rooms but great location and services!! Will definitely suggest all my friends :)
Also was close to Piccadilly Station and Town Hall

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights for the bank Hol weekend of August. We wanted somewhere close to canal street so that we didn't have to walk too far .. Ideal location, room was clean and simple! The breakfast buffet was great, plenty of hot and cold food to choose from!
I paid over £200 for a 2 night stay but because of location and the fact it was Bank Hol the price wasn't too bad!
We'll be using this hotel for the Manchester Pride next year :)

Arrived for stopover before getting train from Piccadilly which was only a short walk away. The hotel is very nice and modern, however the room we were given was extremely small. It was fine for one night's stay but wouldn't like to be confined to this small area for any more days. The bed was not even a double size and seemed more like a threequarter size. Pushed up to the wall on one side meant that one had to scramble over the other person to get our of bed. Very helpful reception staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from student residences.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your stay. I believe that you stayed inn one of our City Double room which are compact. We do have larger rooms at the hotel, please let me know if you are returning to Manchester to ensure a larger room is allocated for you.
