“Great Value well done”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

This is a great hotel, a little further from the train station then other hotels, but it is clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. Yes, I guess the rooms are a little small, but I find them quite adequate. The breakfast is satisfactory, as you would expect from a budget chain. The staff are excellent, and now I returned on several occasions they have started to remember me, which is a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this for any one on business trips or for traveling.

Stayed at this well located hotel, close to a multi storey car park (£10) in March. Fortunately we stayed on a national newspaper discount deal and therefore paid only £10 for the room. One of several hotels we have stayed in under this scheme, including other Days Inn hotel group.

The check in was efficient, we were allowed to our room early, however it can only be described as tiny. The room was clean, tidy and well formed, however the shower room was little more than a cupboard and the bed was crammed up against the wall. Even as a single room it would have been small but you can tell was previously a students room.

For £10 was okay value, for full price would have been dismal!

A tad disappointing overall.

We travelled to Manchester from Newcastle for the Coldplay concert at Etihad Stadium. We needed city centre accommodation that was clean and convenient. This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. Good, efficient staff on check in and , although the room was very compact, all was there for a comfortable stay. The shower room was immaculate, good towels and surprising little details with an ironing board, good hair dryer and a desk fan should the temperature rise. Would recommend this place to anyone needing an overnight at a reasonable price in the city centre. Its just 5 minutes walk from Picadilly Railway Station.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a conference and found it fit for purpose. It was easy to find from the station and check in straightforward and simple. The room was small but adequate but being on the ground floor facing the university meant the blinds were drawn early to stop people looking in. The TV reception wasn't great and I expected freeview at least but otherwise it was fine for the price.

I've stayed here quite a few times now and have always found the reception staff friendly and the prices very reasonable for somewhere so comparatively central.

The standard rooms are compact (fine for one, two might be cosy) but well thought out and designed. Comfortable beds, nice thick curtains that really shut the light out. Not a whole load of storage space but adequate for a couple of days' stay. Each room has iron, ironing board and a fan as well as tea/coffee facilities.

Location is good - easily reached from Mancunian Way and a short walk from Picadilly station.

Nearby car park in Charles St is a bargain (currently £2 a day on Saturday and Sunday, otherwise up to £10 a day).

Having also stayed at the Charles St Ibis hotel, I much prefer Days Hotel.

The centre of Manchester has improved beyond recognition in the last 20 years or so. However, these changes mean that you might not recognise where you are. We walked from Piccadily Station towards 'student land' but when asking where the hotel was, people did not seem to know where it was. When we eventually arrived, the reason became obvious. There was a big sign showing 'Manchester Conference Centre' and a much smaller and rather innocuous looking 'Days Hotel' sign.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was small but perfectly formed, clean, tidy and ideal for a good night sleep. The buffet breakfast was suprisingly good. The cost of the prepaid room was very good value indeed. This is an ideal place for those who wish to be in good access of the city centre and station. Good eating facilities are a quick walk away.

Room Tip: Prepay and you will get the best deal

the days of me being a student have passed and staying in what seemed like university halls was an unwelcomed situation. Despite the layout, service is good, food was just about ok. reception staff were friendly and informative in giving directions.
