“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

One of the best theatres in the country in terms of the regular quality of its productions and also one of the most architecturally interesting - a wonderful space within a space and well worth a visit.

“Marvellous theatre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

I turned up on the day to see if there was anything available and was fortunate to get one of their £10 day tickets. Well worth it (I would have paid more). The venue manages to combine the intimacy of a smaller venue with the professionalism of something much larger. The venue is striking and well worth the visit. I look forward to returning.

“A gem of a theatre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

The small theatre looks like an alien spaceship's just materilised inside the stunning interior of Manchester's Royal Exchange. It's a theatre in the round, with 3 levels of seats; you're never more than 9 metres away from the action, and in most seats you're a lot closer, which makes for a really intimate experience. There's a good restaurant too, The Round, which was justifiably busy the night we visited. You'll need to book!

“another sucessful visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

If you want an intimate theatre experience...this is the place. although of recent the prices have gone up....its still very worth it. Having just seen another excellent performance, the doll's house, it yet again confirms why I visit regularly. It's always worth noting for many performances you can get half price tickets on the first three nights.

“One of Manchester's most iconic buildings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

This building has one of Manchester's most interesting interior spaces. This is theatre in the round and a visit to the theatre in this particular location is always an exciting event. As soon as you walk into the building you get a sense of history as well as the wow factor from innovative theatre design. You don't need to attend a theatre performance to appreciate this building - just go in and have a look around the small retail outlets or enjoy a meal at the excellent restaurant.
