My son and I had a school inset day to fill and went along today to legoland. We bought the tickets online last night and took advantage of the midweek offer of one child (age 5 and under) and one adult, entry fee £10.00 which included entry to everything and stay as long as you like.
We stayed 4 hours and that was having done everything once with two plays in the play gym and we watched two 4D films (different ones). I thought it was well organised from the moment you arrive with the factory tour which got all the children involved. Moving on to the laser quest ride which involves shooting baddies with laser guns, watch out for the bats!
The main area included a make your own lego model with demonstration Our model was a ladybird (unfortunately you don't get to keep them). The play gym was a good size and kept my son entertained with large rubber lego pieces that you can play with. The merlin ride where the faster you peddle the higher you go really does mean that and driving the police cars round the track was all good fun. I pesonally loved the 4D films with lots of things coming straight out of the screen at you.
We had sarnies and drinks in the cafe, spent £10.00 but you could easily bring your own and I managed to avoid buying anything in the shop which other reviewers have rated expensive but what after event shop isn't? We both had a thoroughly enjoyable time, would recommend and would come again.
