“2ND VISIT FOR A VERY SPECIAL NIGHT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Brilliant..Brilliant, and a little bit more of the ole brilliance!!
valentines night 2013, after a great meal my boyfriend took me here, our 1st visit was back in 2011, it was our 1st date..aww sweet lol, 2 years on he brought me back, the ole romantic he is...great night with top acts, and compere just so funny!
Great value at only £15.00 on the door, and possibly a bit cheaper if you pay prior to visiting....made all the more special, as not sure if it was the champagne he had previously ordered, but he popped the question!..a perfect end to a perfect, funny, romantic night!..will be coming back soon :-)

“laughed all night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

I visited here with a large group of friends to celebrate one of their 40th birthdays. great central location, good value for money and the compere and 3 acts were all really funny. There was a bit of a cheesy disco on after as well. The only down side was that we had all ordered food ( curries/naan bread and rice) and the food came out in dribs and drabs, some of it was cold and some of the orders were wrong! despite this the staff were lovely and tried to sort it out quickly, would definitely go again

“terrible !!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

I went here on Thursday 21st March with my partner, we were seated upstairs and had to share a table with another couple as the place was packed out. I ordered some food which hadn't arrived after an hour so I went down to the bar to ask about it, the lady on the bar said she would find out what was taking so long. After about 5 mins she came to our table and apologised and said the food was on it's way and it was taking so long as it was very busy (on ordering I was told there was a 40 min wait). It took another 20 mins before our food actually arrived and I asked to speak to the manager. During the next break the lady from the bar again came to apologise.....no sign of the manager that I'd requested (I actually felt very sorry for the lady) she spent a few minutes explaining that it wasn't usually that busy on a Thurs and we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine. I imagine the man in the waistcoat that told us our seat numbers on arrival was the manager, when I was at the bar the I saw him attempt to spin a pint pot in his hand and subsequently smash it all over an extremely busy bar, the bar was very understaffed for the amount of people that were there but they worked well and were continually saying 'sorry for the wait'. I was here a while ago and all I can say is that standards have dropped dramatically and I won't be returning.........the comedy on the other hand was quite good

“Best Comedy Venue in Manchester”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

There's a reason queues snake around the block for this place on weekends, it's a really intimate venue for stand up comedy with tables that you sit around and can eat & drink rather than a theatre set up - tables are not allocated so you really only end up at the front and in the firing line if you so choose! The ticket prices are not extortionate unlike other venues - especially if you go mid week, and the food & drink prices reasonable. Great place to see new & up and coming comedians

Seating a little cramped and drinks expensive, but entertainment very good. Unknown but funny comedians and a curry too!

Overall, worth a visit and great laugh!!!!
