“Why had we missed this "gem"??”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

We stay in Manchester regularly and usually stay in either The Best Western or Macdonalds Townhouse (down the road from here) but after reading reviews on here we opted for Roomzzz this time.
The guy (forget to take his name) on reception was attentive and very very polite and helpful. We had booked 2 rooms. One for my partner and I and one for my daughter and her friend. Both rooms were clean, well presented, modern and spacious. We had paid £218 for our room for the 2 nights as apposed to £118 for the 2 nights for our daughters room and the extra money paid was well worth it. It was a much bigger room with a bath AND a shower. TV in the bathroom. Much bigger bed. White leather sofa. However, if we had stayed in my daughters room, that wouldn't have been a disappointment as this was real value for money but on a smaller scale.
We had both rooms on the second floor and I can honestly say that there was hardly any street noise from the main road below.
Breakfast is a lovely touch with coffee/tea/hot choc etc Fresh juice, pastries, fruit. All available to take back to your room in a little bag! Brilliant!!
We won't be staying anywhere else now but next time we are going to go for one of the Maxima Suites that have the split level living area. Excellent value for money for luxury surroundings.

We were lucky enough to get tickets for Olympic football at Old Trafford, and decided to stay over in Manchester.I have never actually stayed there before, so was looking forward to sampling somewhere new.
Well, we struck gold. The aparthotel(something I haven't tried before) was just perfect.Stylish, great reception staff, and a HUGE room.We loved every bit of it except for the air conditioning which seemed to stay very cold despite our fiddling with it-a very minor problem. The bed is large and comfortable, the shower powerful and hot, the decor up-to-date, the room very quiet despite being on a busy street. Honestly,we couldn't fault the place(.I would have written the review on the Apple Mac in the room if I had had the time!)
My hairdresser recommended a Chinese restaurant which he said was excellent.Well we were very happy to discover that the Yang Sing was practically next-door.The aparthotel is situated in a lovely old converted building and many original features appear to have been retained. It is near the Art Gallery, Town Hall, and has a tram stop at the end of the street.A bonus for us was that it is an easy walk from Manchester Oxford Road station.
We really enjoyed our stay and were delighted to discover that we get 20% off our next stay at any of the Roomz chain.
I could heartily recommend a stay.

Room Tip: Our room on the 2nd floor was perfect.

This place is right next to Manchester's Chinatown. After two weeks of European food, it's a real threat to be have yum cha delicacies and roast meats to tempt our oriental appetites as the main restaurants are all within walking distance.

The apartment units were priced above our budget when we booked so our family of 4 adults had to settle for two studio units. We could not get connecting units and that required us to do a bit of to and fro-ing to get our personal stuff from our collective baggage. We noticed the studios are styled differently, one is posher than the other, so maybe some upgrading may be under way.

I may have misread some info but was expecting a washer and dryer to do our dirty laundry but found neither in either studio.

That said, I think Roomzz Aparthotel offers good value for money and offers much more than a youth hostel would for about the same price. I'd recommend it.

Fantastic apartment style rooms, spacious with full self contained facilities. Very helpful and friendly staff. High floors better for street noise. Only watch outs this is an apartment hotel so no restaurant. You can buy food to cook but basic selection best go to sainsburys. Breakfast is light and you need to like Danish pastries and croissants, top place!!

Fantastic location, stylish boutique style rooms with a little kitchen better equipped than my own at home, and tasty Grab & Go breakfast.
Recently stayed in Room 102, on the first floor (which is more like ground floor since reception is below street level). Was worried the street noise (doubledecker busses stopping at the traffic lights outside) would keep me awake but it didn't at all. However, one side of the bed was EXTREMELY squeaky and whenever my husband moved in the night, it did wake us both up!

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and it was a real bargain for £59.

Thanks to Osman the receptionist/concierge for his friendly attitude and warm welcome to the hotel.

Room Tip: Squeaky bed in Room 102!

Stayed at Roomzzz after looking at TA reviews. Fantastic suite. Took room 507 which is a two story suite. Imacculate finish on all fixtures, the tv on all floors and in the bath room look great. Absolutely spotless, discounted parking, central location. First time I have tried an apartment rather than a normal hotel. Will definitely stay here again if I come to Manchester.

Roomzz was fantastic, right in the centre of town, parking right behind with discount, room was fantastic, massive queen size bed, really comfy, large TV with apple mac, double shower in wet room brill. Can recommend Try Thai restaurant opposite, food was stunning. Great value at £59 a night. Would definitely recommend.
