“Spa Day Health Club - Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

A very relaxing day spent here, very clean and run by efficient and friendly staff, treatment room is very relaxing and treatments good value for money, special offers on Spa Days are a bargain. 25% discount off the restaraunt menu, the food was delicious and quick service.

On the downside, there is much room to walk between the pool and the lounging chairs, this could prove to be dangerous, so the set up needs some thought, also not much privacy in the pool from the flats and apartments behind the health club they can see directly into the health club, may make some people feel uncomfortable. Personally, I wasnt impressed having to share the facilities with children, a time and a place and a relaxing health spa isnt a place for children.

BUT I will definately visit here again and would recommended.

Room Tip: Didnt stay so cannot comment on the rooms.

We stayed here on a Sunday evening paid £68 for room 603. It was a lovely comfortable room with a huge comfy bed. Snuggly towels, shampoo and shower gel were provided. We used the sauna, steam room, pool and gym. Perfect location for the MEN and shopping. a lovely time was had by both of us. The bar was a bit pricey £9.80 for a pint of peroni and vodka and coke.

This is the perfect place to stay for a visit to MEN or just for a shopping trip. 5 mins from MEN and 10 from HARVEY NICHOLL S by foot.

Good value rooms clean, comfortable, spacious. Good for 1 or 2 nights.

Fab pool. Sauna. Steam room.

Breakfast well cooked send lots of choice. Cooked, cereals, fruit, pastries.

Men car park over the roads. 24Hours parking cost us 12 pounds. I thought this was a good rate.

Careful though their restaurant is EXPENSIVE £18.50 burger, chips, salad.

We would stay again.

We have a new menu being launched this week in our RBG Bar & Grill and we have considered the feedback we receive with reference to pricing. I am sure you will be able to find many great tasting value dishes on this new menu. Thanks for the feedback,

we have stayed at this hotel twice before and rarely found fault.we checked in at 2.15pm. On our way up to the room we were greeted with other people's dirty plates outside there room door. This was absolutely disgusting and not welcoming.we got into our room and changed to go down to the spa which was very quite and peaceful.staff were friendly and attentive.speaking of staff, we had a lovely meal at the RGB Bar and grill and our waitress (Ruby S) was absolutely fantastic!!! Service was quick and the food was superb. We ate from the pre concert menu which had a lot of choice.

Breakfast was cheaper than it was last time we came and payed £16 for 2 of us.The food choices were good but all hotels breakfasts are roughly the same nowadays soyou know what to expect. You can choose between a full English, fruit, pastries, cereals etc

Tips for this hotel:
If you are planning on coming here.try come on a weekday or a Sunday.this way you avoid the stag and hen parties,we learned this last time we stayed.

Also if you plan on eating here (which I recommend) look at the offers on the website as they change from time to time

Stayed here on Saturday night as we were going to an event at the MEN and when I looked for a hotel close by, this one was listed. The location is perfect for the MEN, just across the road!

Checked in at 2pm and both rooms were ready. We had booked room only so were asked if we would like to have breakfast which was £8 each extra, which we did. We went down to reception before going out and asked if we could have extra pillows which were going to be organised for when we got back - unfortunately they did forget, but when prompted again, they were brought to the room straight away.

Rooms were bright and colourful, nice big shower room. One of the earlier reviews said that there was no hair dryer, but it was attached to the side of the table top, so perhaps she just didn't see it (it was a very good, full size one too).

Came back to the hotel after the show for a nightcap - the bar was very busy but we got served no problem. Had a very good nights sleep, we were overlooking the front of the hotel but got no noise from the road.

Went down to breakfast next morning which was very busy, but the buffet was constantly replenished. Big selection of cereal and cold breakfast items. We went for the cooked bit which was all really nice.

Checkout was quick and smooth, by the same friendly receptionist (Andrea). We were very happy with this hotel and will definitely use it again. We parked across the road in the MEN carpark and had the ticket validated at the hotel which meant that we paid £12.

I booked this hotel as it was by the radisson and we stayed at a radisson before wich was beautiful this hotel however looked cheap the staff were miserable, the restaurant could never accommodate the full amount of guests that the hotel can take, the so called double bed was a double base with 2 single mattresses pushed together so I had terrible sleep for 2 nights, the shower leaks all over the floor in the bathroom and has an open back so you are freezing, the room service menu was very expensive and not a great selection £16 for a cheeseburger!!!
I wanted to have a nice weekend away with my husband in a nice hotel and ended up having a rubbish hotel ruined our weekend !

Everything was great about this hotel - except for the breakfast. Have stayed there a few times now and don't think much of the continental breakfas which is sent up to the room.

I work away a lot, and have a busy lifestyle, so I don't have time to go down for breakfast,....so need to opt for the in-room option. I think if they can improve on this (giving a little more than toast, croissant and cornflakes) this would be almost as good as the Hilton Deansgate.
