“Cosy, comfortable and convenient for all Chipping Campden has to offer.”

Rose Cottage is very cosy, has on-site parking, a pleasant outdoor seating area, and is within walking distance of the town. The whole place is decorated to a high standard with good quality furniture and furnishings. The only drawback we found was trying to fit five adults round the drop-leaf dining table in the kitchen, but we managed with a bit of ingenuiety! The owner was not able to meet us on arrival as she had hoped, but arranged for a neighbour to hand over the key, explain everything to us and as she lived just across the road was well placed to help with any problems. The town has a good selection of shops, pubs, hotels and tea-rooms (Badger Hall's cakes encourage calories just by looking at them!). Joel's Bistro, the Lygon Arms and the Noel Arms can be recommended, although it would be advisable to book beforehand. Once you have explored the town there are lots of other places to visit, interesting cycle rides and excellent walking. We had a great time - mind you the sun did shine every day!

“Rose Cottage - Really Cozy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

The Rose Cottage was a truly wonderful story book cottage to live in while exploring the Cotswold Area of England. Conveniently located in "downtown" Chipping Campden within walking distance to anything/everything a traveler could want or need - post office, unique shops, several good pubs, historical sights, grocery store with wine, bakery, tea rooms and a nearby recreational area for walking or exercising. Very nicely appointed kitchen with every convenience and appliance one would need, all new and clean. Relaxing private patio nicely kept with lots of flowers. Attractively decorated bedrooms, comfortable beds and linens. Easily accessible parking. Attentive and polite hosts. The only addition I would make would be to add a mirror somewhere on the first floor avoiding the need to go upstairs for one when needed. It was a true pleasure staying at the Rose Cottage.

“Wonderful week in Rose Cottage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

We found the Rose Cottage as our "homebase" for our visit of beautiful english rosegardens. We couldn´t have made a better choice. The cottage is very well equipped, clean, cozy and has a perfect location. The owner is very friendly and gave us helpful advices. It was easy to make the reservation on the internet. The very quiet surrounding is pefect for vacation. A variety of good restaurants shops and Pubs are in walking distance.
We visited 7 well known gardens ( Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate, Snowshill...) and never drove more than 20 Miles. All together: perfect

“Perfect holiday accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We spent 21 - 30 May 2012 in Rose Cottage in Chipping Campden, experiencing perfect summer weather. From the very first moment we entered the cottage it felt like home. Thank you Nyra for providing a cosy, convenient, clean and charming holiday home. Well equipped kitchen with all needs catered for, made "housekeeping" an absolute joy.Beautiful bedrooms with quality mattresses. Shower over the bath not ideal for tall people but did not bother us.Perfect location with 2 minute walk to high street . All the requirements for a perfect holiday were met. Cycle hire 4 min from cottage, Cotswolds hikes in all directions, beautiful gardens to visit ( Kiftsgate ! ) quality restaurants and tearooms. We recommend Eight Bells pub and restaurant ,Italian Restaurant in High St, Badgers Tea room. All the most beautiful Cotswold towns of Broadway, Blockley, Stow on the Wold etc only 10 - 30 min away. Highly recommended. Gideon & Margot, Hermanus. South Africa

“Very comfortable little cottage just 50 yards from the village center.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We stayed in Chipping Campden 3 days. The cottage was great - no issues whatsoever. It has a nice little kitchen, decent bathroom (just one), good beds in 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, adequate storage. The downstairs area is small but cozy. The TV screen is miniscule, perhaps 24" or smaller, so they could definitely upgrade it. However, they have a cozy little potbelly gas stove that warms the living room up and makes it enjoyable for the family to hang out. There is one parking spot (perhaps two) included, just outside the cottage - so is very convenient.

The cottage is newer construction made to fit in with the surrounding limestone motif. It's comfortable and cozy, yet not totally authentic if that's what you're looking form.

The lease agent was very nice, if in a bit of a hurry when we met her at 6pm. Location could not be better - you are literally 30 seconds walk from the center of town (Chipping Campden). There are several pubs and breakfast places within a 2 minute walk, and a convenience store only a 100 yards away. The Chipping Campden location worked out very well for our tour of the Northern Cotswolds. It's quiet - so be prepared for a relaxing few days.

In sum, we would go back again, and yes, we would recommend it to a family member or friend.

“Lovely cottage in excellent location”

We stayed for a week in Rose Cottage, which is lovely and very cosy : the beds are comfortable, it's also very well equipped and very clean. The owner is fantastic, really nice and helpful - there was even a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. On top of all that, the location is excellent : you can find everything you need in the gorgeous village of Chipping Campden, and from there you can either tour around the lovely countryside or go to Oxford / Stratford.. We recommend to go to Oxford by train, as it is really cheap and saves the trouble of parking. So, in short, an excellent holiday rental !

A proximité de tous les commerces, idéalement situé pour visiter le nord des Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon et Oxford.
Adresse à recommander sans hésitation!
