stayed 2 nights over bank holiday had a lovely double room with nice en suite and views out to the back garden and fields beyond. Rachel Tim and their daughter Charlotte were friendly hosts and made us feel welcome. breakfast was nice and we sat at one table with the 4 other people staying there which made a nice friendly atmosphere. The house is only a 10 minute stroll into Chipping Campden

We stayed at Taplins in June 2013 during a brief trip to the Cotswolds and had a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. We arrived late the first night. But Rachel, who had to be away that evening, made sure everything was prepared for our arrival and was genuinely concerned to make sure we arrived safely. The room (we stayed in the studio room) was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and a great place for a family to stay. The breakfasts were wonderful and Rachel and Tim made sure we got the most of our stay, even supplying us with a detailed local road map to take along on our day of driving the countryside. The location is perfect--a five minute walk from the town center and a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds. In short, everything was wonderful and we look forward to a return visit someday.

Room Tip: The studio room is great for a family. A very large room with a double bed and couch that opens to...

Our family of 4, including two teenagers, had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Taplins in August of 2013. Rachel was very welcoming when we arrived and quickly made us feel right at home. My wife and I shared the studio apartment while the kids had their own beds in one of the rooms in the house. The house is conveniently set up for easy access and parking.

The rooms were clean and we enjoyed the extra space in the studio apartment. The stairs in the studio are a little tight and should definitely be avoided by anyone with mobility issues. We also did bump our heads a few times but quickly got used to it.

The location is very pleasant with nice views of the surrounding fields. Its an easy walk into town and some convenient hikes nearby. Nice relaxing environment.

Breakfast was very nice and Rachel was flexible about when we ate. After a very exhausting previous day it was nice to sleep in a little.

Overall we had a very nice stay in Chipping Camden at the Taplin's.

My husband and I spent four nights this August at The Taplins and really enjoyed our stay there. We had the studio room which was a wonderful room, very spacious and overlooking the fields, so being in a very quiet and relaxing area. Rachel and Tim were very helpful and breakfast was superb. Service was excellent and room very clean. Location is very good only a few minutes to town center. Would not hesitate to go there again.

My husband and parents stayed 3 nights here in July 2013 during a 3 week trip across the UK. Staying at Taplins was one of the highlights! Rachel and Tim were great hosts and breakfast was excellent every morning. The tea upon arrival was also a nice touch. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and bathrooms with good water pressure. My parents enjoyed the private studio room, with a beautiful view out back and extra space. They didn't mind the downstairs bathroom (and they are 70-ish). We also loved Bonnie the dog! We walked to/from town several times and Rachel recommended a visit to Hidcote Manor, which was beautiful. Tim even offered to drop us off there, saving us a long walk (or a taxi ride). I'm glad we stayed a bit out of town, as I feel it was quieter and we got to enjoy pretty views of the hilly fields, rather than the downtown streets.

Room Tip: The studio apartment and the double room that faces the backyard were great.

We booked the separate, self contained studio and enjoyed the privacy. It was light, very well appointed, had a great bed and excellent hot water! The owners were welcoming and very happy to accommodate my partner's vegan diet for breakfast. The location is great, just a short stroll in and out of this delightful Cotswold village. Recommended!

I would highly recommend Rachel and Tim's B & B Taplins. It is a welcome 10 minute walk to the village. There were 6 of us in the three rooms. One double with shower, v comfortable, one twin with bathroom across corridor next door to double and one double in 'studio' above garage with downstairs shower room. Lovely garden with table and chairs that we sat out at. Breakfast was superb and served at the vintage pine table. Rachel and Tim make sure one is well supplied, from homemade muesli to decaf coffee, (and even finding out for me the name of a plant I had spotted in their garden). Their warmth and friendliness made the stay.
