“Never again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

I have just had a takeaway, I should have be paid to take it away, it was a English meal and if that the best they can do then it should be removed from the menu. The chips were dry and the scampi was chewy. The rest of the family had Indian and were happy with it.

“Brilliant food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013 via mobile

What a great place! It is tucked behind the Volunteer pub, which if you pop into for a beer you would surely be tempted by the delicious smells of cooking coming from the restaurant!

We tried the papadoms (sic) with mixed pickles, the pawn korma, king pawn tandoori, mixed vegetable pilau rice, and garlic nan - all excellent, generous portions, the king prawns were huge, and with a slightly different take on the usual (try their chilli sauce for example).

Friendly, attentive service and very reasonably priced.

Highly recommended, would definitely go back.

“The best place in Chipping Campden, amazing food and good prices!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

With Chipping Campden restaurants pricing most of us out of the market it is great to have a restaurant that never fails to disappoint both the palate and the wallet!
We went for a meal this weekend with friends, it was around our sixth visit and the food was amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. This restaurant is always full so booking is a must and the prices of both the food and wine are all very reasonable. If only more restaurants in the town would offer such great value for money.

“Cotswold Indian delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Chipping Campden has thrown up a few surprises and this is one of them! We enjoyed a brilliant night in the Maharaja and afterwards, we retired to the bar of The Volunteer inn which is a quick stroll through the courtyard. These two businesses work in hand with each other although you do not get pub goers walking through the restuarant.

Delicious food and good value for money.
