Visited this restaurant last night - its been a while since we went last.
As usual the food was excellent, tasty, plentiful and well presented.

“Excellent indian restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013 via mobile

I have been to Elachi numerous times and the food is very consistent! After trying a few different indians in doncaster recently we always end up here. Very good value for good quality food. Only bad thing I would say, is that it is very noisy on every occasion Ive been in! More for groups of people and not for couples. We often pick up for collection and the food is just as great, without the headache when you walk out! Having said that I would definitely recomend it!

“Fantastic as always!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013 via mobile

Visited on a Saturday night as a last minute booking- although it was extremely busy the service was impeccable and the food was outstanding.

We were served quickly and efficiently and the food was fresh and delicious as always. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and a lovely lively atmosphere- cant wait to visit again!

“A cheap and cheerful curry house.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

We visited on a Saturday evening, early. The restaurant was already quite full at 6PM, an indicator of it's popularity. It's quite modern inside, and appears clean and well maintained. No flock wallpaper here!

The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is very good. We had onion bhaji, chicken chat, and lamb samosa to start - the bhaji and chat in particular were excellent. The samosa was hot and freshly cooked, but not better than supermarket quality.

Mains were chicken korma and chicken tikka karai with onion rice and garlic naan.

The chicken dishes were delicious and plentiful, the naan bread was absolutely superb.

There are plenty of staff and they are friendly and helpful.

The bill for 4 starters, 2 mains, 2 rice, 2 breads, 1 dessert and 5 drinks was £50 which I think is very reasonable.

The only niggle I have is that it is very noisy inside, the price paid for being popular I suppose!

“Sunday buffet bit of a let down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

We were recommended the Sunday buffet so we thought we'd give it a whirl.

We had a pickle tray & popadom each which we were asked if we wanted but was charged £5 for which we wasnt told about and I thought was abit much to be honest.

Anyway the buffet food was ok but only loop warm and after our second plate the waiter came over cleared the plates and brought the bill over, which in fairness we were finished but it was as if to say don't have anymore which I thought was rather rude.

Having had the buffet here and at Naaz on York road I much prefer Naaz :-) and won't be in a rush back to be honest.
