“Simply Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

What a lovely surprise.
Took my family out for afternoon tea at Lord Hursts for my daughters birthday and was so pleased I did.
The whole atmosphere was lovely and the staff were lovely, they simply couldn't do enough for you.
There was a lovely variety of sandwiches with VERY large portions of cake and gorgeous homemade scones. Well worth the money.
Will definitely be coming again very soon.

“Quirky and enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

Was a very pleasant surprise. It did have a kitschy feel that was slightly eccentric with a Laura Ashley gone wrong feel. Bizarrely it works.

Sandwiches, cakes and drinks all very pleasant. Green tea had a flower in see through kettle.

Original and something that Doncaster lacked.

“Fabulous! ECCENTRIC and well worth a visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

I have now been a few times to Lord Hursts but the first time I went there I had never heard of it and was so amazed! It is very weird and wonderful and I love it. The service is fantastic..the manager is quirky and very hospitable. The food is lovely and in one of the rooms it is served on trays. Flowers are also placed on the side of plates. Well worth a visit and I can't wait to go to one of their night time events.

“A Must Do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

This is the best Tea Rooms in Doncaster. It's such a quirky and interesting place to visit, such an eclectic mix of styles. The food is always excellent and good value and the staff are attentive without being intrusive. A lovely atmosphere and there's always gentle background music playing. A fresh flower presented on each plate is a nice finishing touch. We hired the large room at the back for pre-races breakfast and also for a post races evening meal, last September after the St Leger, it really made it a special day. Please give this place a visit, if you don't you're missing a treat.
