“A day out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We had just dropped a friend off at Doncaster railway station and wanted a garden centre to go to for a change from our local ones. We had tea, coffee and cake and it was lovely - it's the biggest piece of chocolate cake I've ever had!! The garden centre itself has plenty to offer as well. There are also beautiful gardens to wander round and, given the time, you can make a day of it just enjoying nature. The peacock gave us a full display - how beautiful they are.

“A fresh take on the usual garden centre.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

This garden centre has the vision to keep upto date with changing ideas. The gardens themselves are beautiful and the quality and layout of products are superb. Only problem is I spend too much and my waist line growing do to the fabulous food. Would highly recommend a visit but give yourself plenty of time to enjoy and explore.

“One of the best Garden Centres”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The family owners are forever extending, altering and improving this garden area. There is so much to see, and lots of variety to buy. The cafe is really excellent, and sometimes we just come for the food.
To the last reviewer, I would say - It's a garden centre! not Disney World.

“Not worth a visit”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

After reading reviews we thought we would go for a nice family day out ! How wrong could we be after a 40 min drive we arrived at the garden center ! Car park was very busy so it looked good we all walk in and we couldn't find anything to look at the plants that where out looked dead !! The cafe was full I think most people had just gone there for Sunday dinner ! Not a good experience we spent 20min there ! The gardens did look nice but it was raining and cold and having a baby and grandparents with us we didn't bother !

“Great extension”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I love Walker's and now they have added the extension it is superb. The choice of plants is varied, interesting and the plants are always healthy.
What makes it special is that the staff here will always try to help you find just what you are looking for and to date have never failed to meet the brief.
The restaurant here is good and the food is never disappoints.
It's nice to walk the gardens here and see how ideas are implemented and then over time take shape. Inspirational.
Walker's is so much more than I garden centre. Especially as you can now buy locally produced food to take home which is delicious.
