Clean, cheap basic, comfortable, cold bath water in middle of the winter, but you get what you pay for. Wifi expensive so not used. Receptionist was friendly and helpful.................................

We are regular stayers at this Travelodge for family reasons and every time we find the staff very friendly and helpful.
A Travelodge is what it is but the staff can make the difference. You know what you get for your money.

If you get a room away from the road there are lovely views, but for one night we don't mind.
The refurbished Little Chef was friendly, the food was very fast and fresh.

Best bits.......new beds and fab new plump pillows. Saved me bringing my own.
Improvement hint........yes, people do expect free wi fi these days.

See you at Christmas :-)

Room Tip: Rooms at the back away from the road are quieter.

Better than your average Travelodge. Clean, well staffed and looked after. What more could you want for £25. Bargain and perfect for a halfway stop between the South and North. Free wireless guys if you want to steal a march on your competitors and I mean Free.

Clean, cheap, helpful staff, most things working - great deal.

Easy access from M1, good parking facilities, pleasant view of motorway.

Yes these buildings are made from cardboard, duct tape and string; so there's no sound insulation, but that's all part of the Travelodge experience.

This is a fairly typical Travelodge. It is excellent value for money. It is due a refurb - the decor and fittings are worn and tired looking, but it all works OK and is kept clean and tidy. The staff are helpful and friendly. The location is fine - just off the A1 but the road noise isn't intrusive - we slept fine even with the windows open. Don't expect it to be in the middle of Doncaster - it is a good quarter of an hour drive to the centre of town, and with it being on the Northbound side of the A1, a bit of a tortuous route too. But its very cheap, and you gets what you pays for. So long as you don't expect too much you will be fine. We would stay there again if we ever have to go to Doncaster. The grounds and hedges are well manicured - someone obviously takes good care of them.

Room Tip: Don't think it matters - we were on the ground floor overlooking the car park with the A1 and th...

This travelodge is scheduled for re-fit, which it badly needs! This being said, it is very clean, good accommodation especially for the price!
What really makes this place though is the staff. Even though it's a national chain the staff of this branch are so friendly and helpful that it makes it feel like a b and b. The lovely lady at reception even explained to me where more food choices and shopping could be found before I had even asked! The little chef on site is great, decent quality, rock bottom prices and again the loveliest staff.
I am up here on business and will be up this way quite regularly in the fore seeable future and I have to say I'd go for this place every time.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back of the building as the hotel backs on to open fields and the view is lovely.

I stayed in all the travelodges in this area over the last few weeks for business reasons. (may/june 13). Got to say that I was so surprised by this little travelodge. Staff really friendly but professional too. It's directly on the A1 but all I could hear from my rooms here was the birds singing and a faint traffic noise in the background! Because it is small it is family friendly and not much noise at night compared to the others which are much busier. There is a little chef on site and a garage with a shop. I FELT VERY RESTED HERE! By the time I left in the mornings I sort of felt refreshed and it was quite homely in atmosphere.

The access from the north of A1 is a bit complicated but fine if heading north in the mornings as you are straight out onto A1. I used to go down to the next junction and just come straight up and in from that side!

The staff were a real credit to Travelodge and they should be pleased by the common sense attitude which gave them a better reputation as a company.

If you need to stay overnight on the A1 then I would say this is your best choice of all of them in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the road side but looking out over trees and grassy fields!
