“A good nights sleep”

Stayed in this hotel and found the room to be clean, the staff were pleasant and the food was not too bad but eating out in Doncaster was better. Overall not too bad for a few nights. I wouldn't stay here for too long though not bad for a cheap few nights.

I spent a night here, on a very good deal, room-only rate. The room was clean and comfortable, and although basic, was perfectly adequate for an overnight stop, though I wouldn't want to spend a holiday here, simply because of the location (right by the airport and not exactly scenic). It is rather corporate and lacks the character I would choose for somewhere to stay more long-term. The reception staff were very pleasant and friendly. However, it would have been nice if they'd told me that I needed to put the entry card for the room into the slot on the wall once I got into the room in order tor the lights to work, and also that there was a code to get out of the car parkl Luckily I'd worked that out from one of your other reviews and asked for the code before leaving the hotel. I must say that the bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. However, I didn't like the lack of an overhead light in the main part of the room - it made it feel quite dingy. Also, the shower is a wetroom arrangement, and the floor was slightly slippery at times! I can't comment on the food, as I didn't eat at the hotel at all. On the whole, I was satisfied with my stay, found it good value, and would definitely stay again if I needed somewhere in the area.

Room Tip: I was on the first floor, and was able to get wifi in the room, although I didn't use it.

OK, I have a mixed view on this hotel. Whilst the facilities are good, they let themselves down so badly with the Customer Services.

It was evident during the evening dinner service that they were very under resourced and at no point did the Duty Manager interact with his customers to keep they updated on the delays. By all accounts they had one chef on duty and two waiting staff, we had too wait over an hour for our dinner. The food was well, just OK, we were all so hungry by then I could not be bothered to point out that my dinner offering was just warm.

The average wait at the bar was 20mins and the Bar person had to stop what he was doing to man the reception. Again the Duty Manager was no where to be seen.

We were told in the morning that the hotel were unable to resource additional headcount for that evening. The tour we were on was pre-booked by a number of months, we placed our dinner order earlier in the day, overall for a hotel of this standing I for one did not accept this excuse.

More communication on the evening would have been very welcome and would have prevented the frustration that most of the customers like myself encountered. I did feel very sorry for the waiting staff as I witnessed a number of customers vending their frustration at them, I wondered again the whereabouts of the very elusive Duty Manager.

Breakfast seemed to be marginally better, smiles would have been nice. O yes, what is going on with heating system at this hotel, we had to call Reception for it to be switched on and then again for it to be switched off.

I have stayed at this hotel for about 5 weeks now as I am working near the airport with a group of colleagues for a while.

Subsequently, I have been in several of the rooms and have eaten there many times.

The rooms are clean but basic, the beds are good but you only get one pillow per bed. Some of the rooms are better than others. In one room, the heating is stuck at 29 deg, so you have to wither have it blasting heat out or off. In other rooms, the bathroom extractor fan doesn't turn off so it can be noisy at night.

Breakfast overall is good. Sometimes, it is better stocked than others but you only have to ask. They serve fresh fruit in little glasses which are really nice but the staff sometimes have to be asked to re-stock them.

The staff are all really nice and helpful, they will help you as much as they can and are always polite and friendly.

The food is very good quality. It's not the cheapest but it looks nice and is really good.
Drinks are average for a hotel with lager being £3.70 per pint. The service can be a bit slow sometimes depending on how many guests there are and how many staff they have.
Our group of six had to wait nearly an hour one night to get our meal. To be fair that has only happened once.

There is Internet available. WiFi in the bar/restaurant & cable in the room. If you get a first floor room, you can sometimes gets WiFi there as well depending on how close you are to the bar. You get a code that allows you 30 minutes free connection but you can re-use it if you need to.

Overall, it is a good hotel. It is in the budget end of the market and you get what you pay for. I will continue to stay there for the duration of my time in Doncaster and would recommend it of you want a reliable stop over.

Stayed at this hotel night before our winter holiday...reception staff very informative and very helpful especially in the morning when it was raining and very windy.Rooms very clean and if room cold night staff have ability to turturen heating up in room. although taxi very obiging a bit expensive charged 6 pound from hotel to departure terminal but taxi man said it would av been 8 pound had he left airport..breakfast yummy up to 7am think more variety after 7. would deffo stay here again. well done all of you xxxx

A few facts:
Spotless
Tidy
Brilliant Service.

When we arrived at the Ramada we checked in and got our card for the room, there was 4 of us two adults two children. Great Service: We asked for some more cushions-They took about 5-10minutes which is reasonable due to a busy hotel. Dinner prices were dear but looked good quality. We had a cold drink in the restaurant which was also a reasonable price. The Staff were friendly. But as on of our friends walked into the men's toilets the roof fell down on him, which was a lucky thing he was not injured! otherwise we would of gone mad. I would still recommend this to you. Thank you for your time..

Room Tip: They were all excellent rooms.! One thing--Higher rooms have less unit noise.

Stayed here for one night prior to early flight from Doncaster. Room ideal. clean and comfy (pillows left a lot to be desired the quilt could be a bit longer). Waited 45 mins after ordering meal - atrocious, unable to even cut the steak pie - went to bed hungry, glad I was only staying one night. There seemed to be large groups of men staying there (maybe working locally, a bit off putting if female and on your own)
Walk to the airport maybe 10 mins - but a pensioner, pulling a suitcase and raining - horrendous, surely they could have a courtesy minibus.

Room Tip: No idea which rooms are best - just used the one we were allocated.
