Had a surprise visit from my sister and young niece this weekend and when thinking of something to do especially as the weather isn't at its best at the moment I immediately thought of a visit to the butterfly house. Having been to the park on numerous occassions i knew the setting wouldn't fail to impress a first time visitor and thought our young campanion would enjoy the butterflys and small animals, I've never been before but had heard others mention it. It really was disappointing and it pains me to say that as am sure it will be discussed for closure by the council if insufficient support. However at nearly £4 for adults and about £2.80 for children and no discounts for younger children it really was over priced and no discounts were offered as part of the attraction was closed and no explanation of this before payment. The butterfly house was fairly small but got to see a few and some fish and terrapins but like the other parts looks like it needs some investment especially in the reptile enclosure bit with a number of the cases misted up so you were unable to see in. Top tip take some bread and feed the ducks instead which is free.
