Description: A traditional and historic pub in the heart of Lancaster, boasting a grade 2 star listed entrance with Roman battle honors. Just 250 yards from the Railway Station, The Ring O'Bells serves a varied collection of real ales, ciders and an array of whiskeys and wines. With open fires for the colder days and for the sunny days there is Lancaster's secret beer garden to the rear, perfect to relax in with a jug of Pimms or a pint. The Ring O'Bells is a small local pub, which specialises in real hospitality. We have live music most Saturday's, a pool table and darts. The Ring O'Bells is ideal for any occasion, why not come down and support your local pub! "A charming pub with colourful regulars and a great vibe. Has a naughty side and doesn't take itself too seriously" - Lancaster Music Festival 2009

“Great place with good live music”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Good atmosphere, good beers, can get busy! The night we went, saw a great live band but be prepared to stand and be jostled a bit as it is not a large place. Pool table in the back room. Worth a visit.

“Local pub with nice breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

This pub did not used to do food and in fact had a policy where you could bring your own if you ordered drinks. A refreshing idea which helped make it the local for many, and demonstrated common sense, and respect for its customers. Now at least you can get breakfast and also they have curry night. The breakfast is similarly priced to wetherspoons but is nicer and comes with tea, coffee or juice.
The pub itself has the best beer garden in town, occasional live music, free games to play, a reasonably priced pool table, and a real open fire in winter.
it may look a little dated, and a bit locals only but don't be narrow minded and give it a try.

“Awful, dedintely one left to the locals”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

Unifriendly, dirty place. I have visited sweeter smeeling lavatories. We did not stay for even a drink let alone a meal.
