“Overnight Stay For Training Purposes.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Lancaster Central is ideally placed. It is clean, modern and inviting.
The room (108) was bright and airy.
A fan was provided for if the room became stuffy.
Tea and coffee were adequate.
All was fine.

Been there four times in total.
There's a good noise insulation in general, but rooms not facing King Road are definitely quiter.
Small Travelodge hotel: therefore no Bar/restaurant available.
Clean and prompt service as usual.
Hotel is really close to Lancaster city center though. You could find plenty there.
No free parking available, though plenty "pay here" around...

This hotel is very well located, close to restaurants, shopping areas and the famous Lancaster castle. My room was comfotable, fairly large, and very clean (with one small false note at the level of the shower). Wifi is only available for free for 30 mn per day, but customers can purchase extra time. The problem is that the amount of time purchased has to be spent in one go. If one purchases 24 hours, for example, and goes asleep for 8 hours after that, these 8 hours will be deduced from the 24 hours, although wifi would not have not been used during this time, of course. Breakfast packages can be purchased separately for 4.50 to 6.50 GBP.
Overall, the hotel is excellent value for money;I benefitted from a promotion which allowed me to book three days for as little as 98 GBP! I would certainly recommend this hotel, and I would return to it myself if I travelled to Lancaster again.

Last minute stop over in Lancaster on Wednesday 8th April, we stopped at the Travelodge and we got two rooms both doubles.
Very clean and very comfy beds we had heard of problems with noise but we had a great sleep.
Finding a parking space is a bit of a nightmare there is a car park opposite but very hard to catch a space.
Great location very happy would recommend.

Easy to find and about 10 mins walk from the train station. Arrived at the hotel for early check in, was a little bit early and room wasn't ready. The guy at reception sorted this straight away and gave us a different one, personally delivered a cot to the room, set it up and put bedding on, lovely and friendly and helpful.
The room was big and light, no air con but a fan in the room, all beds made up and everything in good condition and working. Perfect location, we went to the castle and did the tour and went to Williamson park which was lovely. We caught the no 18 bus from the bus station and walked back (at the top of a very steep hill). Ate at wetherspoons next door, usual fair and cheap prices, Tesco on other side so good for a chilled bottle of vino in the evening.
The only disappointment I Had was how uncomfortable the extra beds were! I slept on 1 with my 6 yr old and hardly slept a wink, ended up climbing in the big bed with my mum (my son slept ok)! I know these beds are mainly for children but I am only average size (5ft 4, under 11 stone) so would expect them to be reasonably comfy. The only way I can describe it is like sleeping on the base of a divan, they really needed an extra mattress on top. They advertise the super duper comfy big beds but surely the kids deserve some comfort too??

Hotel is well situated for Lancaster with station or parking close by.
There is a Tesco and Wetherspoobs in the Sams building so lots of options for food either there or a very short walk away.
The room was clean but very warm which made it difficult to sleep. As the hotel is on a busy road junction it was too noisy to have the window open. It was a warm day but not hot so I would not go here in the summer months.
Staff were friendly and polite. I went to reception to ask for more coffee and milk and receptionist was very pleasant.
