“Nice but slow. ”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

Went in at about 8:15pm on Saturday night and while the restaurant was busy they were easily able to accommodate our party of six. Our order got taken fairly quickly but we were kept waiting for at least 45 minutes before our food arrived. I have to say it was very tasty and I did enjoy it. However we were then kept waiting again for the bill. In the end, after having asked for it about 10 minutes prior, we went down to pay and the hadn't even started writing it out! Not a place to go for a quick curry in my opinion.

“Dissapointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Read the reviews and decided it looked good. Starter was fine but the 2 madras we ordered were bland, had very little meat and no veg or texture, they were more like thick gravy. Also they had no pepper in a spice oriented restaurant!!
Will not be returning.

“Good Quality Bangladeshi Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Absolutely charming staff at this restaurant.

This town centre restaurant has little on street parking close by ( you usually have to pay via a meter) and there are pay car parks fairly close. Not expensive, it offers good quality food and attentive staff. Some beer/lager on draught and there is also bottled beer and a decent wine list.

It can appear cramped after 7 30 pm as it does get very busy and it can be noisy as a result. Best to have early dinner there.

“Very nice all round experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We visited last night after both recommendations from here and from friends and had a lovely evening! We booked beforehand which was a good thing as it was very popular, the staff are very friendly and as other have said, nothing seems too much trouble. Even with it being a very busy night we were served our main meal within about half an hour and all was piping hot. My only critique (and this is very personal due to my own likes) was that the chicken tikka balti I ordered was more creamy than spicy even with the addition of chopped green chillies and had a visible abundance of ghee used. The tandoori king prawn plate one of our party ordered looked gorgeous. Poppadoms, dips, rice, and naan breads were all excellent and the overall price was more than fair. We would be happy to revisit!
