“great food, slow service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

we went to rhubard on their open stage night. the decoration of the restaurant was a disorganized mess, however the food was excellent. staff was nice but service very slow. all in all, the food was worth the money. will probably go again for early eve dinner.

“Beautiful decor, brunch average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

Visited on Sunday lunchtime. The decor is really different -art deco style, even reaching to the toilets, with quaint Victorian photos on the walls. A real delight. On SUndays obnly a brunch menu is offered. I had the trout special, which was tasty and well presented. My son chose a burger from the specials menu, which had a tiny portion of chips with it, for £10.50, we felt rather diasappointing. The service when we were seated was good - a detailed explanation of the menu, and specials board, but it deterioriated once we had ordered, taking rather a while for the food to arrive, and the usual age for the bill to be brought. I'd come again, but not on a Sunday.

“Lovely surroundings and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

We had a lovely evening here the staff were so attentive and friendly. This place is a real gem in Leamington. We ordered different things and some was outstanding and some was normal. I had the dressed crab it was disappointing, it had quite a bits of broken crab shell mixed in with the meat. The staff were very apologetic and didn't charge for it and gave me a complimentary desert. Usually I would not go back if I had an experience like this but my partners food was very good so we will be back and give it a second chance.

“Shame !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

We heard so much about this place and have it a try... Unfortunately we didn't stay... Lovely to the eye upon entry but not acknowledgment from the says although we kind of stood in the middle of the floor!

After about 10 mins of being observed by the staff, one of them actually said hello! We asked for a table they said no, no attempt was made to seek an alternative time, utterly cold and uncaring! Not what I would expect from an establishment of this caliber and town!

Maybe it was a bad day for the staff... Or maybe they need a wake up call !

We left and found somewhere nearby to eat and drink which was wonderful!

Learn from mistakes is the punch line here!

“Great Place”

Had lovely lunch here last Thursday. Friends had recommended and they were right. Attentive service, good food and quirky decor. Loved it.
