This is the restaurant part of the Falstaff Hotel, and certainly the best part of that establishment. Our group of mostly retirees spends weekends here once or twice a year.
The food has been improving but we generally stick to the set menu. The chef is very cooperative and provides little extras.
The quality of breakfast is excellent, and now has plate warmers, but desperately needs a better toaster.
The wine list is reasonable, but the bar selection very limited.
Staff is attentive and does their best.
Meals are good value.
