Filthy & damp apartment, with dangerous electrics!!
We booked Clarendon apartment No5 for two nights. The apartment was advertised as luxury accommodation, it was as far from luxury as one could possibly imagine. It was filthy, untidy, unfinished and had a damp smell throughout. The kitchen had grime on the appliances, utensils and work surfaces. Even basic food preparation was impractical. It had clearly not been cleaned for months. We no option but to stay for the first evening as we arrived quite late, we managed to source alternative accommodation which was not easy to say the least. We advised the owner of the problems, he agreed to meet us in the morning. He was very late arriving, and was rude and unsympathetic to our complaints. His physical appearance also left a lot to be desired. Additionally my partner received an electric shock from the hallway light switch whilst in the owners company, again no sympathy was displayed. Subsequent e-mails were also ignored by the owner.
All told it was a terrible experience, we could barely believe the state of the apartment and the manner in which we were treated. Leamington Spa is a truly wonderful place, but avoid these apartments at all cost!

I see from the reviews on here that you were not happy with you stay. I am not prepared to go into detail on here but in summary.
You had booked a 2 night stay. On arrival at 6pm you were shown around the apartment and given the keys. At 10.30pm approx you contacted us with some problems you felt were with the apartment regarding cleanliness which you must not have seen when we shown you around at 6pm. We agreed to come 1st thing in the morning and sort any problems out. When we arrived you were not interested in us putting it right and were packing to leave without giving us the opportunity of better explanation of the problems.
Your 2 night booking was non refundable but in consultation with the international booking agents that the booking was taken through we refund 1 nights stay as a gesture of good will.
You wanted a full refund and threatened to ruin our business if we did not comply. Hence the review on here. I have copies of the email with these threats in.
I am sorry you feel unhappy with a 1 night refund but we felt this was fair
