“Clean and tidy Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Stayed here on 17th-19th May with my wife as we were attending a wedding nearby. Hotel was clean and rooms were spacious. Food was nice and staff friendly. Would recommend. The only problem was myabe the Bar should have stayed open a little longer for residents.

Only stayed one night, we needed a stop of on our way to Scotland we where pleasantly surprised. Easy to find good eccess to motorway and good value for money clean and comfortable . We had a lovely warm welcome from the receptionist ( Andrea) nothing was to much trouble and she was very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

We didn't stay at the hotel; we met family there for a meal on a Sunday. The Beafeater Grill was very clean and well laid out. The staff were excellent and very friendly. But the food was average. It's typical 'pub-grub' and fine if you just want to 'fuel up', but not for anyone who enjoys fine dining. At £15 to £20 for a mixed grill or a steak, it's not good value for money, based on the food quality. I think the prices on the 'value menus', available on other days, would be more appropriate.

A typical Premier Inn. Good value with clean and comfortable bed/ bathroom. The only contact with staff was with the Receptionist who was very friendly and smiley.

Our room overlooked the carpark at front and was quiet. grouting in bathroom wasn't brilliant (some black marks) but nothing major.

Nice to have a bedroom where the windows can be opened - so many are locked/painted closed.

Really good access to motorway.

Warm welcome awaited arrival. Very helpful staff. Clean and functional rooms. Despite being close to motorway there was little in the way of noise overnight. Good size rooms. Hut why do they not offer free wifi.

Not a bad stay, but lift was out of order- not great for a pregnant girlfriend, especiallty when booked into a room on the top floor! Beds a bit hard and had to wait to get back in at night as night porter was attending to another guest- leaving us waiting outside for 10 minutes.
