“Good hotel - check out the access route if arriving via South bound M-way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2011

Arrived after 11pm, staff in reception pleasant and helpful. Stayed in a second floor room (for two nights) facing away from the motorway, slept with window open. There is some traffic noise after about 7am - didn't disturb us. I suppose if you are a light sleeper and wanted a lie in, it might be best to keep the window closed.
Room very clean and tidy. Ensuite bathroom clean and modern. Extra pillows in room. Hair dryer. Tea. coffee etc - extras available from reception. TV and remote. Free parking.
Arriving southbound off the motorway requires exiting at junction 31 then going onto the North bound carriageway and then exiting at 31a.
Didn't use the adjoining restaurant.

I stayed with my daughter at the Premier Inn Preston East for two nights, Thursday/Friday. The price was excellent £29 per room per night. The room was very good, quiet and although two chairs would have been useful, everything otherwise was good. Breakfast the first day was wonderful, well presented and hot, although plates could have done to have been hot as well. Saturday breakfast was not served until 8am and we wanted to get off earlier, but had to wait. Food on this occasion was only warm as were the drinks which were served in thermos jugs. The evening meal was very good. We had the package of full breakfast and evening meal from a special menu, for £22 per person per day. A glass of wine was provided with the evening meal as well.
All in all a very good hotel which we would certainly visit one of the Premier Inns again without hesitation.

MY FAMILY OF FOUR STAYED HERE AS A STOPOVER ON OUR WAY TO BLACKPOOL. Friendly greeted by reception and advised of breakfast and dinner deal. Room was clean and tidy although a bit small for a family of four. Breakfast was aquite pricey but kids eat free. Have booked another premier inn at another location for our next stopover.

Room Tip: Look out for special deals such as £29 for family room.

My husband's doing a 1500 mile walk across the UK to get our terminally ill son to America, so myself and our 6 children, came up from W-s-M to meet him. We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were very nice and helpful in the Premier Inn and Beefeater. Definitely reccommend it, caters for everyone. If interested in finding out about my husband's event, please visit www.walkforlymphangiomatosis.co.uk Thanks...Kelly x

We've stayed here five or six times on our way to and from Scotland, and we've recommended it to loads of friends and family making the same journey.

Why?

Because it's great! The rooms are clean, and amazingly quiet despite the M6 being 50 metres away. The beds are super-comfortable. And best of all the staff are incredibly cheerful and friendly and always keen to help.

The Beefeater is good too, and the breakfasts are amazing if you have a big appetite. The free coffee in reception in the mornings is a very nice touch!

Very good value for money. Clean rooms, friendly staff, convinient location. Little to expensive breakfast.

Excellent stop off on long journey through the UK. Hotel is well positioned and easy to find just off the M6.

Receptionist was excellent and very friendly and informative. Room was of large size and well equipped.

If making this journey again i would definitely be using this hotel.

However, i would probably look for somewhere else to have dinner as the Beefeater restaurant was quite poor - although they did redeem themselves with a good breakfast!
