“A nice hotel with friendly & welcoming staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2010

A good hotel with a clean modern feel and very freindly and welcoming staff.
It had plenty of parking and is well located for easy motorway access, very pleased and would certainly use it again.

Perfect stay as usual. We regularly use this hotel on our return journey from Scotland and have always had a very enjoyable stay. Its very easy to find and only a few mins away from the M6. Plenty of safe car parking directly in front of the hotel. Exceptionally helpful Staff, especially the receptionist and nothing seems too much trouble. Our exec rooms were perfect for a great nights sleep - very comfy bed, which isn't so common these days, and proper pillows, which is even less common. Good cooked breakfast to set us off for the rest of our journey. Would recommend.

Really comfortable rooms, very friendly service, everyone remembered our names, food in restaurants was very tasty as well. Swimming pool was nice and warm especially when it was a cold morning outside. We loved it.

Went with LIons Club for a convention. Everything of a very high standard and my gluten free diet presented no problems. Rooms lovely and clean, plenty of tea, coffee etc. and was impressed by the availability of fresh milk in the fridge on the corridor. Thought the compulsory changing of towels every day was ecologically flawed, there was no notice to say put them on the floor if they needed changing or put them on the rail if not.
The food was excellent and they catered for our large party very well on both evenings. Most of the waiting staff were young but very eager to please.
No hesitation recommending the hotel at all. J and M Lancs,

The swimming pool is good, everything else about this hotel is just plainly awful. Travelling over the weekend with young children we were put in a cramped overheated and horribly uncomfortable room. Never ever again - this is at best an over rated three star. We would avoid this hotel and avoid going on a trip if this was the only accommodation left available. The pool was the only saving grace. There is plenty of other accommodation in the area, ring them first. We travel a lot and we know what constitutes a reasonable hotel....this is possibly the worst four star we have stayed in in Britain.

Not the cheapest hotel but a good breakfast and easy parking. Good range of dinner options.

well kept hotel with swimming pool and gym. good to find a decent breakfast rather than the usual terrible buffet nightmare.
