“Best food so far I've had in 2012”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

I live in Solihull, went on a weekend fishing trip to Milford Haven (South Wales) on the way back felt hungry, and stopped in Tewkesbury for a Indian, stumbled into this place a bit dark, but I must say the food was excellent, mouth watering food, the chef was brilliant and welcoming would highly recommend, I will definatley come again and again, but could do with a new deco and some Motown music! Lol! Adam (Solihull)

“The worst Indian experience ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

We should have used our own judgement rather than other trip advisor reports as even on entering the very dark establishment it did'ent look good, and things only got worse.

The starter of onion bhajee,s & papadum's were just plain without having any proper favour,
the main meals of chicken tikka masala, medium hot chicken curry & another chicken curry which i cannot remember the name of, all were at best very poor with mine being returned, as the chicken could'ent be cut and i've never tasted anything like the sauce it was in, the replacement was only slightly better.( i don't think this would be printed if i used the words i'd really like put down).
The waiter was looking nervous all the time customers (3) were making attempts at the stuff on their plates, and we were'nt charged for my main meal, but as two of us have had bad stomachs all week it has not been an nice start to our barging holiday. To be honest if this place offered free meals we would certainly not be having any..........we cannot understand why there are any good reviews what so ever for the Spicy life, it's by far the WORST place in England to eat.

“Best Indian in Gloucestershire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

Best Indian in Gloucestershire without a shadow of a doubt. Atmosphere is bit strange inside as it mostly thrives on takeaways rather than eat-in's so always seems a bit quiet, but the food is always soooo good. Delivers too which is great. In fact thinking about it I'm going to order right now :-)

“Delicious food at reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

We did not expect to find food of this caliber in a relatively small town, but our experience at Spicy Life was first-rate. The service was extremely courteous and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The onion bhajis were outstanding, as was the chicken shashlik. Will definitely return if we visit Tewkesbury in the future. Prices very moderate by British standards.
