“Our stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Lets start with the parking. We stayed for two nights here and the parking charge for 48hrs was £16 I've no idea why anyone would build a hotel without car parking. The hotel itself is new and the rooms are very good (we had a family room) the good nights sleep guarantee is not in danger of being caught out. The check in procedure was smooth and the receptionist was very helpful. The receptionist later on though when we were asking about restaurants near the hotel was less than helpful. Maybe they are trained to promote the brewers fayre within the hotel but I don't believe she didn't know any other restaurants in the area. Overall we had a very good stay here and if it hadn't been for the parking charges I would have given it a five star rating

New hotel opened in (December 2012) i believe. Staff very friendly and helpful. Brewers Fayre attached to hotel, nice food & reasonable price. Five minutes walk to town shops.
Parking road level next to hotel ( only downside is £8 for 24 hour parking). Some rooms have view of canal (nice to sit outside with a drink in the summer).
Well worth a visit!
We paid £29 excellent value.

Stayed for one night in April 2013. Check in was an absolute pain with a chap working hard on a cheap laptop to register your stay. Access to the main part of the hotel (such as it was) was through a security door for which you needed your room access card. Not exactly the best customer experience. Room was to the usual Premier Inn standard - I.e. good but the same as every other Premier Inn. There is a pub as part of the complex (Brewers Fayre) and a Frankie & Bennys directly opposite. There is a public car park next to the hotel (£5 overnight) but being in the town centre, I was not entirely confident that my car would be still be there or in the same condition in the morning - however it was fine as it happened.

PS. don't be influenced by this being a 'waterfront' hotel - it really isn't at all pretty!

We stayed for1 night as a family of four in a family room. The room was new, clean and we had a great view from the window. We stayed over easter. The food in the brewers fayre was lovely the staff were very friendly and helpful, very reasonable price too. Would definately recommend.

Well done accommodation located in the center of very pleasant small town, well located for greater Birmingham, nice to be next door to art museum and waterfront. Paid parking lot is good for an urban site. We always appreciate free parking, but it is not always possible.

Stayed in alot of premier inns, with working all over the country, this is especially good one been a quite new build, the only slight problem is there is no on site car park, but one payable one next to premier, the restaurant is brewers fayre which is ok,service was very slow in restaurant and one of the waiters kept taking wrong meals to tables, cant fault the hotel staff, nothing to much trouble, restaurant let it down slightly, but would go back.

Room Tip: High floor room.

I know people have complained about the parking but it is right next door to the hotel and was only £8 for 24 hours. The hotel is situated in the waterfornt area and is next to the art gallery and a shopping precinct. There was a Brewers Fayre attached to the hotel which had views over the wharf - lets not get carried away this is still Walsall but it was still quite pleasant. The rooms were clean and quiet so can't really fault the hotel and it was only £29 per room!
