We visited on a busy Saturday evening pre Christmas and were fortunate to get a table without a reservation – the place was jam packed. The restaurant is really well designed with a great modern airy feel to it, the tables are fairly close together but you are not squashed in and it does add to the overall buzzing atmosphere. To start, we shared a couple of plates of garlic bread between the 4 of us which were generously portioned.
For main I had the Agro Dolce half and half pizza – one half mushrooms, mascarpone and truffle oil, the other speck, pumpkin, mascarpone and a sprinkling of amaretti biscuits. It was a great combination of well thought out flavours, something you don’t always see in chain restaurants who stick to the “keep it simple” mantra. My only complaint would be that with such rich flavours, the pizza was just a bit too big and heavy – which coming from me is saying something! All other main courses looked equally as good, and the pasta eater in our group did not feel short changed, as their dish too was generously portioned and flavoursome. Just to add, we had no issues with service or wait times, our waitress was on the ball all evening.
Would definitely recommend as there is a wide menu, including a Cichetti menu which is a Venetian take on tapas. Overall a good Italian restaurant at more than reasonable prices
