Had a lovely meal at the Noble House recently, the food is hot and fresh and cooked nicely, the surroundings very pleasant. But the waitress was a proper sour puss, either she didn't like her job, or she was having a bad day. She barely spoke or smiled and when I asked if we could have an extra dish in place of the desserts on the set menu, she snapped "You'll have to pay the difference." Which was fine, but she could have been a little more polite.
The Manager/Owner is always very pleasant, but we really felt the service wasn't that great, yes we got our food on time, etc, but a smile wouldn't have gone amiss. Considering we are always polite customers, and spent a lot of money over £200 for 4 people, we'd have expected a smile or two!
Perhaps it is a bit petty, but I believe in customer service, and it won't make me rush back for another meal.
