“Sunday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

Sunday lunch with family, plenty of room, good selection of vegetables which you help yourself to, meat was carved for you and generous helping, also a good selection of vegetarian options, food and drink prices were very reasonable, a nice meal in nice surroundings!

“Wrong photo, right description!?!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

This was our 4th visit here with friends! The carvery has been redecorated, but the bar and toilets are clean but very tatty.

Even after a price rise to £4.19 I still don't know how they do it for the money!?! The stuffing was rock hard, but this is the ONLY adverse comment any of us can make after FOUR visits!! And if £4.19 is too expensive for you they sell a 'classic', fish & chips or pie & chips with UNLIMITED chips, beans or peas for £3.89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bar where you have to order and pay for your food ALWAYS contains a rough swearing clientel which is a shame, but the restaurant does not suffer from this and is well recommended, as others have said, I don't think you can buy it and cook it for this price!!!

“Great for the money, pile it up and scoff it down.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

I was stopping local in MK and fancied something quick and easy so popped into the Peartree it was wednesday and the carvery was gammon, turkey and lamb. It costs a tad over £4 and if you get the right chef serving you can get all 3 meats and a couple of extra slices, as much veg which was replenished regularly with roasties or mash and gravy. Represents real top value, i guess those who criticise expect 3* or 4* food well all i can say is good luck for £4 you'd be lucky to get a starter in most restaurants nowadays. This is good food, not great food, at a very resonable price you couldnt buy it at tesco any cheaper. Drinks are a little expensive though at £2 for a small coke, might as well get a pint of lager for an extra 50p. All in all a good feed for a small price. I would recommend it.
