“Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

The Milton Keynes Museum is a good place to take children, with lots to do in the school holidays. The tea shop is very nice, with lots of tasty cakes at good prices, so you must try it.

I do feel the museum needs to do more at Christmas, with an older Santa.

A good day out, rain or sun. Check when the museum is open as they do shut.

I would go again.

“Milton Keynes museum what ever the weather”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Very interesting and lots to see. Great if the weather isn't too good, better to visit in school holidays if you have children as they hold more events. Don't miss the cafe with traditional cakes and home made soup. The only let down was at Xmas went it wasn't a traditional Santa as advertised. Santa was too young although he was good.

“Really good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

This museum has areas related to home life, shops, transport and agriculture. It is not particularly large, but it has quite a few exhibits which I had never seen before, which impressed me as I have been to quite a few similar places.
The volunteer in the kitchen was brilliant and not only helped my grandchildren to make toast using a toasting fork in front of the fire, but showed them a wooden mouse trap, a bottle cooler and took them to show them how to make brass rubbings.
The people in the telephone exhibition were also keen to involve the children.
It is a very hands-on museum and there is very little that is off-limits to children.
The entry price was very reasonable.
There is a tearoom on site, but we didn't use it. There is also a gift shop.

“Excellent Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

We had a brilliant afternoon at this museum. The volunteers were so friendly, helpful and we learnt so much. Had no idea learning about old telephones could be so much fun - amazing. My girls toasted bread in the old kitchen, and I was allowed to play a wonderful old musical instrument. The tea room prices are very good. So nice to go to a museum and really enjoy it. Recommend it to everyone - young and old!

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

Just got back from our first visit to Milton Keynes Museum. Very well thought out and loads to see and do. We live about 10 miles away and have never been before and will take 88 yr old Grandma next time we go. A very engaging place to visit with lovely volunteers who are so happy to answer questions and give you bits of information. Can't wait til next time! Tea room is levy too!
