Looking at the pub from the outside (with its shabby paintwork) you'd be put off going in, but we decided to give it a try and were so pleased we did.
Good selection of ale and lager, including three real ales. Quite a good seating area with a nice mix of comfy tables and those intended for eating. Service was excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The menu was quite extensive, which is usually a sign that its frozen meals on offer, but this really was home cooked food, made to order. We had chilli and scampi both of which were huge portions, tasted lovely and were excellent value for money.
Do give this place a try it really is a gem.
